Another option could be on the top of the contemporary during the fireworks. Contact guest relations, they can do the best job. Or just bug Zazu over here on a PM, he might have some ideas.

I actually proposed to my now fiance 2 days ago(yes she said yes) and did it at Cinderellas wishing well (on the right side of the castle if your looking at it from the front. I brought her there and waited for the castle to light up with the icicle lights that they do during the holidays. There were maybe two other families there and i waited for them to leave and proposed. If you want a photographer there i am sure the photopass group will be glad to have a photographer there to get the shots you need. I also went to Guest Services beforehand and they made me some buttons that said "Almost Married" (They crossed out the just on the Just Married buttons and wrote almost beneath it). Hope this helps a bit.

Great input, thanks. I might try to bug Zazu a bit, though I know we're getting into the busy seasons for all of them.

I'm wondering how much trouble it would be to propose with/in front of Mickey and Minnie at EMH or something. Something to the effect of showing Mickey that it's "not so hard". :) I think she'd like that.

If it isn't busy you might be able to pull that off. If at all possible talk to the character attendant at the entrance to the tent and see what can be done. Even better talk to GR and mention that is something you'd like to do, I'm sure they'd do something to help out.

Sounds great. I definitely don't want to do anything that would make anyone else's vacation less magical. This may be a once-in-a-lifetime moment, but for some families, so is their entire vacation.

I don't think that a few minutes for that would ruin anyones vacation..

oh wait, I forgot...SG's!!!

All of the CM's that I have ever delt with have always gone out of their way to make our vacation wonderful. I would think that they would be more than happy to help you out.

(Are you SURE ya wanna do that?? You can still be a pirate!! hehehehehehe)

Yep, SGs. We've had people complain because we wanted to meet the characters... one SG mother said "there should be an age limit on the characters." Always fun to see a CM say "everyone's a kid here" back though.

Oh, and she can be a bit of a pirate too sometimes :)

Age Limit On Characters??????? Oh HELL No!
When my Elderly In Laws went to DLR with us, a highlight of the day was Eeyore coming to visit them at my request :)
Thanks, :eeyore:

I agree. It's sad to see those old, wrinkley characters having to get around with canes or wheelchairs because their knees are blown out.

Yeah, well, it happens. Worst ever though was the CM who rolled her eyes at us when greeting Mickey/Minnie during EMH at the side of the castle. When we got to the front, she said "next KIDS please" (emphasis on KIDS) and rolled her eyes when my GF stepped forward. I'm not normally one to complain about things (in fact, we've had GR fill out about 4 GSF cards over our trips), but this one took us straight to guest relations after we got done there.

Hopefully I can find a better set of CMs to help me with this little task though. :)
