I was taking a large limb off of a tree and the tree objected. He threw me to the ground breaking my right wrist and a few ribs.
I had to go to Tokyo a few weeks later. I tried to use a fork with my left hand but it didn't work. I tried chop sticks with my left and had no problem at all. The Japanese are always impressed when an Anglo can use them. They were REALLY impressed I could do it with my left hand.

I learned to use them when I spent two years in Japan back in 1976-78.
And DW uses them a lot. So much so that we bought several travel pair and take them with us. Plus we have a number of sets at home. (NO throw away ones with splinters!!)
I think we are gonna get the spork's and replace the camping sets.

And they are handy for cleaning out one's ears as well. Very versatile implement.

I feel compelled to start a band, and name it "Titanium Spork." :)

I want to be in the band too! I can play about ten guitar chords on a good day...and on a bad one I can still sing. I also do a wicked kazoo solo.
This thread has me thinking too of that great Vulcan sci-fi hero, you know...
Mr. Spork...
It's a utensil, Jim, but not as we know it.
(yes I have insomnia and yes it's very apparent I am sleep deprived.)
