Mooty had a guest assistance card and would either go through the Fast Pass lane or the back entrance. But then one day in August it all changed.
"A different manager said she didn't care what my card said, I'm only allowed to ride the ride four times," said Mooty.
Mooty said she was also told she could no longer use the back entrance. She spent the next couple of weeks arguing with Disney. In the end, she got booted out and was cited for trespassing and for using profanity. Mooty claims she did not do those things.
For its part, Disney said there was never a restriction placed on the number of times Mooty could ride the Tower of Terror. The park said she used profanity in front of guests and that's why she was ordered out. But the park did say it would listen to an appeal of her case.
That is what the above linked article says.
Did a CM tell her there was a 4 ride limit on a GAC? or Did she cuss and get unruly in line? What doctor in his right mind would issue such a prescription? What medical evidence is there that the ride helped and not the day off of snacking on the sofa or the excercise from going to the park?

OK, this is a bit of what my Doctor friend says (he is a frequent visitor to Disneyland and we have almost daily discussions about it)
1) He thinks any therapeutic effect is purely psychological- hard to think about your pain when your plummeting down and screaming
2) Disney has no obligation to provide "treatment" for her medical problems
3) you would get the same "effect" on your body by standing on your head
This is not to discredit anyone who does actually feel better while riding ToT,
but to sue for damages because you've been banned for your behavior, I believe gets you some sort of special SG award.

That was my first thought when reading this.
Even if it actually helps and a doc writes a script for it... so what? Disney isn't a public clinic. I would think they have
more of an obligation to their other guests to make sure the GAC card isn't being abused -- and to toss out anyone who would cuss in a family park, disability or not.

She could've swiped a prescription pad, or had an actual prescription slip, had it Photoshopped, and made up a fake prescription herself. I have abdominal adhesions, but they normally don't bother me, unless the weather changes suddenly and drastically; then I end up using the bathroom alot, and gulping Imodium. Her doctor must be someone with PhD., but not in medicine. As a faker, she's one of the more creative ones. If being yanked around by strong gravitational forces "helps" her so much, why doesn't she go on Space Mountain, or any other high-speed coaster? Same effect.

Let us be fair and give her the bennifit of the doubt and say that she is neither a crook nor runnin a scam above the obvious suit. She should loose based on the paragraph printed on the back of everyones ticket; spicificlly the section that says "Disney reserves the right to change its policies, opperational guidelines for rides, park hours, prices, and even where you can walk once inside; for any reason and without notice." In short, since disney owns it's property, It can say that you may not come in if you do anything that it deems against the rules.
Thus said, will she loose? Most likely not as the court system hates Disney.

As odd as it sounds, but riding Space Mt. helps me relax. The speed and shaking seems to loosen the stress out of me. Think of it as a glorified "magic fingers" massage bed.
But to insist that I need it as means of medical treatment - purely stupid! If I have the desire to go again, I get back into line!
This women needs a swift kick in the spine, not a another ride on TOT.
I'll be damned the day they take away GAC's altogether because of morons abusing the system like her. She seems to put the stamp "Greedy, Manipulative, and Spiteful" on the foreheads of GAC users.

There is a common myth that the GAC means head of the line service and preferential treatment. Too many people think they can use the GAC faster than a Fast Pass. I used to love Splash Mountain at DLR but I could not ride it 10 times because on average I would have had to wait about in long disabled lines. I did use the pass to use Fast Pass but for most rides the GAC is longer a wait.
Disney does not have to provide for her medical needs. It is like a restaurant or doctor can refuse to provide service. There are so many disabled seats on a ride per hour and I feel using the GAC to ride 20 times is abusive. I might use it for a couple of times but really, 20 times.
Scientifically it is bull and there has to be another explanation like change in diet or excercise.

Good luck with the lawsuit...isn't the intent of the ADA to provide equal access, not superior access? I mean, 20 times in a row...come on...
And nothing else works for her condition but ToT? Sounds like another entitlement-minded whackjob running amock and now hoping to cash in as well.
