Actually, I have been working on a project with my dad that has taken copious amounts of time. More people are getting interested, which means more work for me, but that's okay, because it'll pay off in the end. As I get closer to getting everything into place I'll let you guys know, because there are some of you here who might be interested in participating as well. Once this project is off the ground, I should have some time back.
I hope it's not selling Noni Juice or Mon Avie or whatever the newest brand of joo-joo juice is called. :D:

One of my loopy neighbors was going to buy a Noni orchard on the Big Island and make a killing. Lucky she didn't as the vog has gotten so bad it's ruined all the farms.

No.

Vog is volcanic smog. There are now two vents on the southeast end of the Big Island that are belching it out. When the trade winds are blowing it gets pushed south so we don't get the effects. When the Konas (south) winds are up we get yellow-orange skys (like Mexico City), stinging eyes and unbelievable colors at sunset.

Check out the USGS site--it has a lot of interesting information on volcanoes, , etc. as well as earthquakes, including a "This Day in Earthquake History" page, as well as a 24 hour aftershock page (California only). http://www.usgs.gov . To go to the 24 hour map of CA, http://pasadena.wr.usgs.gov/step/ . And yes, there are places for monitoring volcanic activity, stuff for kids, etc.. And there are definitions of terms.
