No rule breaking like running nekid though Main Street or screaming "Fire" on a ride. Water fights are fun but unsanitary. The people behind you may not want to be soaked. Think of Animal House for some things not to do.

I suggest we lock you in a closet and make you read every post for the past 3 years on this site. giggles, you then might be prepared not to be a SG.
Interestingly enough, I *have* been reading this site, and (almost) every post on it for a little over the past 3 years. I have very clear ideas on some of the more egregious errors (like the ones you mentioned, Churchy). I want to avoid those in more nebulous territory.

I prefer neither. Of course, if I had to choose, the smart one might be entertaining. :)

It's just not my style to say "I'm actively ignoring you" out loud to anyone on the job, (even if I am), so I'm a little surprised at that, so either the CM was joking back or having a REALLY bad day,IMHO.
Yeah, I'm not sure which it was either. I'm hoping he was joking back. Here's a thought: If I think we're all having fun, including the CM, but I suddenly realize that in fact we're annoying the CM's and making his or her day worse instead of better, is there anything I can do to make it up to the CM and make his/her day better? Is just apologizing enough? Should I stop, but just let it go and not say anything? Maybe say, "Oh, this is going to end up on SGT, isn't it?" I really do want to have fun, but also brighten CM's days, or at the very least not make them harder.

Disneyguy85 wrote:But getting back to the question...

Its certainly possible that you may have seemed like a SG to the CM. But I wouldn't worry about it. Its in the past.
True, I just want to make sure history doesn't repeat itself.

The best way to not be an SG is to have common curtesy, obey rules, know rules, etc. Another great way is to learn to read people and how to relieve tension. In your example you did not read the CM properly. Look at their face and do you see sadness, illness or weariness? Then you will know that they might not be up to sillyness like you comedy routine. Some people like a good laugh.

In this case do you know how hard it is to be on the trams. Watching for things falling out, people breaking rules, safety hazards like debris in the road to report to management, smiling and happy, wind in your face, bugs, SGs, etc. Reading people is when you see how people are reacting to your actions. Are they laughing or are the looking away. It is hard to do but you can learn.
