I have know several co-workers that were in accidents and attested to that. And I was hit by an inattentive driver. The only good thing was that I was working and it was a work vehicle! A day after, I was feeling sore!
Tell me about it!! I got rear ended in a parking lot. No injuries. Two days later I was stretching and had my head turned to the side. I heard a pop and couldn't straighten out. Neck brace time.

That was a loooong time ago and I still have problems.

See a doc, make a police report, and keep all those e-mails your "friend" is sending out.

Right after my grandfather passed away, when mom and I were in Pennsylvania, it was raining really hard, and we were going to another relative's for dinner. Mom, me, my cousin and her baby were in one car, my aunt (not my cousin's mom) was in the car behind us. We're going down the rode, it's getting dark, and all of a sudden, my cousin yells to my mom, "Oh, turn there!" She wanted to get her kids some fast food, despite the fact we're going to her sister's for dinner? I know what you're thinking. Well, mom turned, but this older couple in a car T-boned us as we were turning. My aunt say what happened, and she's a retired nurse. My head flew to the left, then smacked the right side of the car's interior, twice. The car that hit us hit once, bounced back, hitting the car behind them, then came forward and hit us again. The woman in the other car had a cut nose, mom got a slight belt burn on her chest, and I ended up with whiplash. I still cannot fully turn my head all the way to the right. I was so angry that the accident happened that I refused medical attention. Our car was totaled. And we still had to go to Grandpa's funeral in a few days. I was hurting from my neck and back for quite some time.

Sorry to hear that happened, FelineFan..... :(
This is why it is important to get all the info while things are still fresh, you could end up with a permanent injury and not realize it until much later. Look at Susi with her back, it took many trips to the MD to even get the problems diagnosed correctly!
I'm thinking that my son will be OK, just a friendship ruined this time
BTW, my husband has a family member who is a recently retired Sheriff in our county, and he just confirmed that a "Long" report needs to be made if there is an injury in a hit and run accident.
I can only assume that the my "friend's" relative denied to the Sheriff that there was any injury, if she reported it at all.

:flybongo: NO BULL!!!!!:D:
