I knew someone would bring that up, and I know that they do, I was just kidding :p: , but back in the day when I was a kid there weren't many healthy snacks for sale, just Coke and Popcorn and Ice Cream. The churros came along later.

Hmm...now where was that pet peeves thread...

Fine, a ODVRBTR selling fresh fruit, better ;)

That is OutDoor Vendor Run By The Restaurants
Well, we're actually called QSR - Quick Service Restaurants, so the term you're looking for is actually ODVRBQSR :p: .

Talking about this issue brings up a really small SCMT. The first time I worked one of those Fruit Carts, Costuming insisted that I was supposed to wear the Area ODV Costume (I wasn't). Despite the fact that I kept pointing out that there was no need for a QSR Foods CM to wear an apron with such deep pockets (we don't do the whole Cash Handling by hand thing).

Ahhh, thanks for the clarification :) Now we need to update the acronym thread :D:

No, no, no! *DIET* Coke and fresh fudge. You gotta save where you can, right?

I actually ordered that combination once, only to have the server ask, "Why?"

I looked her in the eye and asked, "Do you have diet fudge?"

"Er... no."

"That's why."

Ah, Zazu. I bow to the master again. I wish my wit were half as quick as yours.
:wombat:    :zazu:

But as Oscar Wilde said, "the ability to quote is a serviceable substitute for wit." That is to say, I'm going to steal this and use it myself someday. :D:

Diet Coke and fudge is only a medium-calorie snack! :D:
There is Diet fudge (sugar free) but doesn't quite taste the same- also watch out for the LAXATIVE EFFECT

Am I the only one flashing back to the whole "food court" conversation in Mallrats?
