BRAVO Wallaby! You are the embodiment of everything Walt wanted his Parks to be! Sheer magic! What a guy! :D:
But then we have met you, and know that you do truly LOVE what you do and carry the Disney spirit with you always!

The reason we always pick Disney for our vacations is because of all the above posts. The CM's make every trip better and better. And I should know, since we have been there over 50 times in 16 years and we live 1300 miles away. We will be there 19 days and so looking forward to that Disney Magic.
Thanks to all the great Cast Members. Big hugs to all :)

One of our favorite memories at our last Disney trip was when a CM from the Disneyland Hotel was waiting out front and approached us. She said she wasn't feeling the magic the day before and her manager sent her out with a gift and to spread some Disney magic. She selected our daughter, gave her a toy with little plastic figures and a signed picture of Mickey. That was a GREAT way to start off our day at Disneyland.

I'm crying over here.
BW, you make Walt proud, and us little people at SGT too.
I was just thinking the other day about special moments from our trip with my dad a year ago, which, sadly, may turn out to be the last one he has/had.
It will be one year ago on Sept 5 that Mack and Jack Sparrow made our entire vacation by picking my daughter to fence with Jack in the Pirate Tutorial.
She was wearing these big movie star sunglasses, a little safari-style tunic top, and capris with tiny skulls and crossbones on them.
Mack called her "Fancy Pants" and picked her out right away, even though at 11 and pretty tall for her age, she was on the 'edge' of the age they usually seem to pick.
That was not just a priceless memory for her, but if they only knew what it meant to the biggest kid of all in our party, the 66 year old grandfather who, after seeing WDW planning movies on the Wonderful World of Disney, got reservations for it before it was even open.
I knew that day it was a memory that we'd cherish forever. Now that Dad is so sick, I know even more how priceless that memory, and that day- will always be to us.
Keep the magic alive, CM's. You never know when you are not only changing someone's vacation, but changing their life, with your kindness.
Bru

Big Wallaby,
I found out I will be at the Magic Kingdom Sat. Sept. 13, 2008. Can I meet you and Arnold? The last time I saw him was last Sept. I hope to meet you because everyone says you are cool. Have a safe week and don't let the SG get to you. ;)

Oh BW, that's a lovely story. Sounds like you really made that girl's day!
It's great that you guys get to make people happy like that.
It's also great to hear about your daughter Bru!

Great job, BW! I love making Magical Memories for our guests. Whether it's just getting them something so they don't have to walk all the way, or by helping a guest find exactly the meal they're looking for, their smiles always make me happy that I came to work for Disney :D: .
I think someone here deserves the Partners in Excellence Award (I think that's what it's called at WDW, here in California, we call it the Spirit of Disneyland Resort Award) :D: .

BW, you rock!! It's the neat little moments like that that make WDW so special and create the magical memories for families. Even a little thing can put a smile on someone's face. Last time we were at AK, a family with a little girl was walking in front of us as we got off Primeval Whirl. A CM stopped them and handed her a little dino finger puppet. You should have seen the smile on her face! It was so cute to watch.
