They can direct the guests to GR :)

Exactly! That's all I can see them doing unless they give them some sort of way to verify a guest is staying on property.

Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious…
and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

I work at a front desk, and there's no way to generate an "extra" room key. If I made one, it would invalidate the previous KTTW issued to that guest.

So no, you gotta use the real thing.

I was reading about tipping and room charges and so forth on (board x) and someone suggested that you can get a 'spare" room key when you check in that dosn't have room charging ability attached to it. Would this be what they are talking about?

(FYI it dosn't sound right to me, when we check in, at DLR or WDW, I have my Credit card attached so we didn't have to worry about using that, just use the room key.)

I don't know *what* they're talking about, and I suspect they don't either. It's one KTTW card per registered guest, period.

Thats what I thought, some SG talking crazy.

The clue should have been that they claimed that if you lost the KTTW, and someone charged on it, that you had no recourse but to pay WDW $1000.00 worth of charges before you could shut it down. (and other similar things)

They only thing I remember was that when we checked in at DLR, the adults could have charging and the grandkids could be configured to no charging.

Yeah, I arrive this Saturday for a week, so I'll be right in the thick of things with this new way of doing EMH...
We'll probably be going to MK Evening EMH that first day under the new system, too. I'm sure it'll go SOOO smoothly!

well, YA GOTTA let us know here!! Not many comments from the CM's about this change, but I think it seems like they are all in a "wait and see" mode!

There are a number of people that are going to WDW in the next few months, myself included! I know I am interested in your evaulation and suggestions.

I have several lanyards with pouches that will hold cards (from work, we have to wear a security card that is coded for access to various areas of the building!)

Thinking of throwing them in the suitcase!

I can assure you none of my magic hour wrist bands have ended up in a land fill!

I kept them all so I can put them in my Disney scrapbook :) I also kept our resort cards, and well pretty much anything that can fit in a 12x12 plastic cover... geez I'm a freak!!

Actually Canuikstan turned me into a disney freak, I can assure you guys that I was normaler before going to disney! :p:
