In Portland they have a system like that. Think joyride in a car combined with NetJets. You have a special key that can open and start any one of several cars you will see just parked around town. You pay for a certain number of hours per month. Kinda nice if you don't normally have and need a car, but for that once in a while.

Boston has the same thing. It's called zipcar up there.

Cute little things too. I always wondered if you had several subscribers in the same area, how do you get a car. I don't think the company stages enough cars in an area for all subscribers. The company guarantees that you get a car when you want one. How?????

You can sign up for a time slot for a car near your location online. I have a couple of friends who do the Zipcar thing in the SF Bay Area, and they like it a lot. I don't quite see how they can guarantee you'll get a car, since signing up is first-come first-served, but I don't know the details, or if it's an actual guarantee. The people I know who use it like it, and I think it's a great idea; it eases congestion, and it means you don't have to go through the trouble of owning a car if you only need one once a month.

My guess is that they have a formula figured out so that for xx number of subscribers that sign up, they add one ZipCar to the fleet.

I know that sometimes someone from Human Resources or the IT Department rents one for the day in order to get out to the off-campus location where I work. Then they file for reimbursement. I've never heard of them having a problem reserving one.

A Hispanic family then approached the stroller, plopped their own child into it and walked off. When the first family saw this, the second family declared that the stroller was theirs since they needed it or something.

Yeah so why bring a stroller to Disney? Just steal one from the families who have them! :strolatt:
At the Safari we park the strollers halfway through the queue, so I've seen plenty of stroller shenanigans. My personal favorite was the time that I watched a family come snag a stroller that said O'Connell on the back. I don't pay attention to whose stroller is whose, but a few minutes later a family came back and had been searching for their stroller for a while, and finally asked me for help. They said they were looking for a double stroller for the O'Connell family. Well at that point I realized what had happened and radioed for my coordinator to get them a new one and they went on their merry way.

Low and behold a bit later the "O'Connell's" came through the line with their kids (4 of them :rolleyes :) piled into their newly "rented" stroller. When I took it to park, I noticed that they had flipped the rental card over and written their name on the back in what appeared to be lipstick. So I simply flipped it back over and parked it. ;)

When the family came back I helped them look high and low for their stroller, and then when it couldn't be found offered to get them another... if they had their receipt handy. Needless to say, they had lost it, and was there anything I could do? I said of course, the merchandise location could reprint their receipt for them and issue a new stroller if they used a credit card.

I enjoy it when I get a little innocent revenge.

LMAO...that is a good one Main Street Merch. LOL

Look for us in a few weeks. We wont have a stroller the day we do AK but if you are in the other parks keep an eye out for a greeny-gray one with mickey heads on the wheels. If I could figure out how to put lights on it I would. HEHEHE

I ran across some 9 volt battery powered christmas lights (led's) last year. They would be perfect for a stroller. (heck for that matter, you could WEAR them!)
