Oh they do. It's not that I don't know how to make change, it's more of an anti-fraud thing (people trying to rapidly change the amount they give in order to confuse the cashier). Just checking, but you do realize that they're giving you the extra change so that that they get only bills back? Being a guy, the only place to put change is in my front pockets. When I'm cashier, and something costs $4.50, they usually give me a $5.00 bill. Then sometimes they give me an extra 50 cents. I just add however much they give me to the change.
And tour groups acually do that??? I'd just say "I'm sorry, we only sell hamburgers, but not cheeseburgers without cheese." :D:
