I can relate to these stories. My dad worked for TRW in Redondo Beach,CA. His company would have TRW/SEA private parties at Disneyland when I was about 15. There was one night we went and this SG parent let their son see what happens when you stick your head through the fence. The kid about 7 years old gets stuck big time. Security calls the fire department and they have to use a saw that takes metal appart. That family was taken away by security.

The fence is there for a reason, to keep out from what is behind it. Now in Frontierland, I did see a bunch of parents sitting on a bench while they let their kids run in the planter. In the planter there was sand, cactuses with sharp ends and other plants. I could just see a kid going body down into sharp spikes. Then I could see Anahiem police taking the kids away for child endangerment.

Well, I could see SGs suing DLR for having cactus in their planter.

I'll have to look for it. It wouldn't be too much fun, since I only posted once (and very politely) in the actual thread. I ripped her a new one, but in a PM afterwards. I'll see if I still have the PM

After reading SG's thread on Evil Board X, one can't
help but ask.....

Was the childs' leg stuck in a pot a life threatening
situation? No, it was not.

Did DL refuse to help? No, they did not.

Did she have an agenda by raising a stink on a fan
board instead of DL itself? Absolutely.

Case closed! *wham*

When I was working at Knott's, at the Calico Railroad, one summer there was a family looking at a stagecoach that was on display, and there was cactus planted around it. Three year old kid decides to climb and walk around edge of raised bed, while his large family are busy taking pictures of their group in front of the stagecoach. All of a sudden, BIG scream from the 3 year old--yup, he'd fallen and landed in the cactus! Family rushed to his aid, one of my co-workers called First Aid, kid was okay, but the family was, well, let's just say they made Homer Simpson look like Einstein.

As for signs, I can assure you the vast majority of people do not read them, or insist they didn't see them when they are pointed out. It's called selective blindness/illiteracy.

The Sun Wheel is on very large pylons in cement that forms a wall to keep the lake out. Dude got his head stuck between the cement wall and the pylon. Breaking the wall would mean water coming in or the pylon base being damaged. No way to cut the pylon as that is holding up the ride. They got the dude out eventually but yeah some SGs do not understand the outcome of their actions.

At the campfire I was so tempted to tell guests that the fire is not real and to test it. I got my head stuck in something at the Pike in Long Beach, yep, my parents were SGs.

The problem is, almost eveyone here knows that SG's create their own problems. Deep down, the probably FEEL the stupidity but don't want to admit that they just made a very poor judgement. Rather than admit it to themselves, they get outside re-enforcement by posting the incident on board x, but they post it in a manner that leaves out the idea that THEY are responsible for the actions of their kids! (they also seem to get creative in the actualy facts, or lack thereof!)

I wish Disney would start booting them out, because they are too stupid to have fun, and thus ruin if for others! (not to mention giving the CM's a bad time!)

This is something I see most days out of the week, parents letting their kids run amock and climb on anything suitable to their needs. If something happens, it's all Disneyland's fault and not the idiots who are the parents who should be with their children.

I don't know about you, but back then if I ran away or went off to climb something that wasn't meant to climb on, I would have gotten "the works" real quick.
