Big Wallaby- you work now on the Monorail system. Do you know Arnold? He worked at Disneyland in attractions. I last saw him Sept. 2007 and lost communication. I was a sad camper. Hopefully my small group will meet you and see him again. What does your wife do? I got to meet Jonathan last Sept and I mentioned SGT and he smiled at me. I told my friend if she did something bad to irrate the cast member, he would open the door and kick her out. I had him chatting away with us.

I am coming out Sept 10-18. We plan to use a rental car for Kennedy Space Center and we also plan to ride the monorail most of the time. We had a bus driver by the name of "AL", is he still there. He was a driver most of the time for Pop Century. :)

For the people who are around those waterways more than I am: What are the chances a gator or some kind of snake could be in there with them?

I'd guess the chances of there being a gator in Crescent Lake to be well above 100%. Those critters are in every pond more than a foot deep. Every once in a while a 6 to 8-footer will crawl out on the beach and get a free trip to Disney's Nature Preserve.

I've seen big 'uns in the Rivers of America, too.

While I've never seen water moccasins on property (just lots of rattlesnakes), it wouldn't surprise me too much.

As far as this story, just to get my facts straight... there is no Boardwalk with boats and a Jellyrolls at Disneyland, right? Just to get my facts straight, because it makes some difference in telling my wife about it. She works Lake Patrol on Crescent Lake here at WDW, but definitely not at DLR.

Oh god. No telling what's in the water! Naeglaria fowleri could be in it as well. It's the brain-eating amoeba.

I know Arnold. He is awesome. Not long ago we were discussing monorail colors for the upcoming Monorail expansion (it's always upcoming) and one of his favorites was Monorail Candycane. I was partial to iridescent charcoal covering the entire train instead of white and and a metallic aquamarine stripe.

Pest Control had to get a cottonmouth near the MK Monorail Station about a year ago. Was a big sucker too.

Well, this is off park area but I did see a small gator -about a foot in size- lazily lounging about in a storm drain next to the MK bus roundabout. I'd say it was right near the side walk people use to cross from the MK parking lot to Disney University. Passers by who also noticed him had left him alone.

That is not difficult. The deer are everywhere on property. They start lining up on Vista Way about dusk and area there most of the night.

Ir's very dark in the Fort, hitting a deer is not hard. In fact seeing deer do alot of things in the Fort is not hard. One night while I was driving the third Orange from TTC to the Settlement I passed two deer mating. The SG on board felt that we were getting too realistic for a family park.

Luckly the likelihood of hitting a deer in a Monorail is slim. But I wouldn't rule it out as impossible. They are crafty little devils.

Never can trust the validity of such claims, but a CP bus driver that always drives the "A" (Magic Kingdom) route at night said that a bicyclist was sprawled out on Floridian Way, having been chased down and gored by a buck. Wouldn't surprise me too much because bucks do that to bicyclists in other areas. I rode his bus around 3 nights a week and he never seemed to be the type to tell tall tales.
