I believe that is the original landscape we're looking at, and it is on an ocean. Basically, the original landscape is someone's idea, it also has other landscape features. Pay no attention to it, except that Trainz has a monorail based on the Mk VI as seen at Disney World, complete with the Contemporary.

The serfs were usually too busy working the fields to get any surfing in. They did, however, like to wear an occasional pair of baggies and complain about da Big Kahuna in the castle.

Wow! Great job! I'm trying to get my hands on the game. I'll host the files for download if you want to share them :)

Wow! Thanks for all the feedback and compliments!
As for sharing the files, once you buy Trainz, they have a "Download Station" online for user-created content, and integrated software for indexing and uploading it. It's pretty cool. So (once I upload it all) it should be available to all (assuming you have the program)...
Oh, and GaTechGal, that one pic is from the "sample world" the creator of the monorail project made to show off its operation, so no, it's not Bay Lake. (Mine is much more sedate.) The sample world includes some cool stuff, like mountains and tunnels through them, ravines, a huge waterfall -- with one monorail line passing behind it. It's cool, but it's just not Disney.
I'm having fun building this virtual WDW, but the constant struggle, of course, is that more realism = more work (and slower frame rates, too). There's also the possibility of too much realism -- it's not visible in any of my pics, but as a joke for my kids I put some building framework and a few construction cranes on the north side of the Contemporary, the same as it was when we were there in December... :)

Wombat,
Did you get the latest version, the 2006, or the collection with the 2004/2006 versions and all of the routes?

I bought the Trainz Collection on PC DVD (4th item on
this page), but the World is being built within TRS 2006. (TRS = "Trainz Railroad Simulator")

Ah, Railroad Tycoon doesn't come close. What you want is Trainz or MS Train Simulator... But Trainz seems to be more all-around fun and versatile.

Thanks Wombat! That is the one I am going to try and pick up. I have MS Train sim, but I've run the tracks there and it's getting a little boring :) Until Mrs. ktulu lets me build my own 7 1/2" guage railroad, I need something to occupy my time ;)

This is way too cool, Wombat. It looks really great! This is the kind of computer stuff that I have no idea about. These are things beyond me. I am lucky I can even email and load and print pictures and now even make tee-shirt transfers! Woohoo! This stuff is for you guys with the big brains.
Very nice, Wombat! Now you need to quit your job to do this full time, right? Then you will be a true Computer Geek! :hysteria:
