I know I shouldn't do this, but... I'm trying to think if there are any tabbys in the Disney lexicon? I want to give the kitty a Disney-esque name (I'm not attached, noooooo...) and can't think of any off the top of my head. I am currently letting him roam since he seems docile and didn't eat anything in the crate. So far so good. Of course, my dogs are confined for the moment since my crazy neighbor is going in and out and I don't want to take them outside if there's a chance we'll run into her. That's a whole other story. Our apartment manager calls my building the "loony bin".

Thomas O'Malley from the Aristocats?
The cat in Penny's orphanage in the Rescuers?(Who many say the late Nine Old Men animator Ollie Johnston modeled on himself.)

Deep breath... I am not getting attached, I am not getting attached, I am not getting attached.
I've been letting him (pretty sure it is a neutered male) wander. He's been staying the room where the crate is. I went in there to check on him and he sat on my lap nuzling me and purring. He has now followed me ot the living room and is trying to sit on me as I type (much like Makya, who I'm afraid might be jealous. I don't want to make my other two babies jealous).
I will not cry when I give him away...

Okay, the whole not getting attached thing is flying out the window! He has been following me around my apartment as I clean, rubbing up against me and meowing. He gets along fine with the other cats and seems to care less about the dogs. I have decided not to take him to the vet as I don't think they can help me right now. It's questionable whether I can take him to the Humane Society before Tuesday since they are closed on Sundays and tormorrow is a holiday. Still trying to find a name for him, so far nothing seems to fit. He is very docile, loving, and laid back.

Toulouse or a Berlioz? O'Malley? Rufus the cat? Cheshire?
And you know if you name him he's yours right? :D:
I'm glad there are people who can take cats and dogs in. My allergies just won't let us. Now hamsters we have...

I know, I know, if I name it it is mine, but I just can't keep calling him it! He may be with me until Tuesday, so I need to call him something! Right now Matthias (my half dacshund half jack russell puppy) has spotted him and is trying his mightiest to get to him. too bad I keep tethered to coffee table so he doesn't get into trouble ;) . I keep hearing this low growl coming from the other side of my couch. Yep, he fits right in!

He doesn't have Oliver's personality, and he's not orange. That was my first consideration but I have decided against it. (Plus, a few years ago my roommie brought home an orange tabby I christened Oliver).
He was doing so well and then... I walked into my room and smelled poopy. My immediate thought was, "Matthias is in the living room so it couldn't be him" (He's still potty training). It was my little friend! I was surprised because he's been sniffing the litterbox so I figured I was safe. There was a little drop or two of blood so I was a bit woried. I googled it, and all things indicate a speck or two of blood is nothing to panic over and will usually stop in a day or two. He might have just eaten something sharp. Lord knows he's probably had an interesting diet out in the wild. I'll keep an eye on him until he goes to the Humane Society, and may have to quarantine him again.

I decided on a name! Milo (like from Atlantis). He spent part of today napping with me on my pillow. It's going to be really hard giving him away tomorrow. :(
