This one probably takes the cake though. I had a guest come up to me a few days ago and asked me why didn't anybody tell her that it was going to rain today. I felt like saying to her, what's the matter, you've never heard of a television. We do get the weather channel, as well as all the local news broadcasts in all the hotels here in the Orlando area. :throw:

I suppose that means that Disney needs animatronic Al Roker figures at the entrance to every park standing on a raised platform giving the latest forcast... :?

Here's a stupid lead trick for ya... At Matterhorn who runs 10 sleds on both sides when it's raining? Apparently we do when a certain lead is there. Don't rely on logic to tell you that guests are going to cry when the bottom of the sleds are flooded so they'll get in slower and the station will back up and we'll cascade so we'll have to push out loaded sleds because who's gonna evac guests in the rain on a slick surface with no hand rails and then take 7 (yes 7) CMs to push out of A9 because you have to move the damn sled backwards for the pacers to get up to speed and then wonder why a CM ends up in the pond on B side. (Not that that happened but 5 of the CMs did slip up there. Hell I've almost ended up in the pond just opening in the morning with the dew.)

I would venture to guess that this is the same lead who said it was ok to run sleds despite some people still being tagged out inside the mountain coming out of a 101. The same lead who wants Matterhorn to be the "Nordstrom" of Disneyland (if that isn't an oxymoron). The same lead who delayed a certain someone's retirement by a year because the training for A-lead position just wasn't taking...

SmallWorld During Rain

Post by Tuckerboy » Sun Mar 21, 2004 10:33 am

I hate it when people moan and groan about their seats being wet! They stand up in their boats and we have to be delayed because of all this mayhem  We broke down recently during a pourdown and EVERYBODY got out of their seats and GOT OFF the Boats before we could even evac! Talk about possible injuries and lawsuits! AAAARRGH!!! I HATE IT!
