Actually at Disneyland..it ends up with them getting a meal voucher and a couple of back door passes

Wow, a company is pretty shallow when it doesn't stand behind its own employees...

Fear of this sort of CS response from management is why I would never call Security for a violent guest -- I'd call 911 and ask for the Orange County Sherrif directly.
This way, the OCSD gets my complaint and the Company isn't involved. If a manager tries to get between me and the deputy, he's liable for interfering with an investigation.
Thank heavens I've not had to go this far yet. WDW seems to do a much better job of backing up CMs than the reports from DLR.

I get you if a Cm went in and beat the living daylights out of someone (CM or Guest) they would be found out and fired immediatly.

In a heartbeat! I was talked to once while I was off the clock, out of costume, and smoking in a smoking area.

I used to do the parade rount at Disney MGM durring Easter. It was durring the 100 years of Magic. Well a gentalman and his family was watching the parade. The floates get really close at some points to the guests and we really have to watch he people or they will dart out ojn you. Well one gentalmen decided he was going to take a picture fine, but jumped the ropes and went to the middle of the rout and took the pic fine I asked him nicely to go back to the side for your safty. Then once again he jumped the ropes this time I got in front off him and asked him to please stay to the side for his safty. This time though he punched me in my chest, and knocted me down. In no time security had him to the floor. I sware some people trying to help them for thier own protection.

Did you press charges or did the company try to convince you not too?
I had a friend who was working the dispatch console at Snow White in the Routes and a guest came up to the wheel chair entrance and asked where to go. She told them to wait there and she would get them on an ADA accessable RV. They came in and unloaded the person in the chair and kept trying to get in and she kept telling them to wait. The husband then threw the folded up wheel chair at her and it hit her in the ribs. She hit an EStop and called security and APD and wanted to press charges for assault. Managment had other ideas and "took care of the situation". Probably gave them a premium annual pass, comps for the hotel, NSA's and backdoors for their entire trip. It wouldn't supprise me :x

I was working load 2 at space one day when we were REALLY busy. When it busy at space, it is very noisy inside and the rockets are dispatching very quickly and you really have to pay attention to everything thats going on. If you dont and you get a slow guest getting in or out and the rockets back up in the station, then the ride brakes down and nobody rides. The whole que inside the station was completely full. A man started yelling at me from the other side of the station, up top mind you, telling me to fill the rockets completely. Now, I wasn't the grouper to begin with and second, seats are left empty for many reasons. So he makes it to the other side of the station, my side, and is yelling down to me again because the rockets are going out light and because I yelled back at him "do you think you can do it better?". He makes it to the grouper and and is really pissed at me for that coment and just goes off on me telling me how to do my job and how to be respectfull, so I got very defensive because I prided myself for a good job I did, and I yelled "Look buddy do I go to your place of employment and tell you how to do your job, how would you like it if I was yelling at you that your doing it wrong"? He just about punched me and wanted to complain to a manager. The GL and Lead just happen to be standing on the dock talking and saw the end of this and came over to interveen(?). She (the GL) ended up giving him a couple of backdoor passes and appoligiused for me. I WASN'T SORRY

. I was so pissed that she didnt back me up.
While the man was yelling at me, his wife and kids were trying to pull him away and she kept telling me she was sorry. I felt bad for her because he was embarrasing his family and they new he was wrong.
