What the *#&@ do the Beach Boys have to do with EPCOT?

Here are pics of the Flower and Garden Festival. The main Characters Mickey, Minnie, Goofy are all having fun in the sun! Goofy is on a surboard and I am not sure if Stitch pic is in this report. I did not wait for the whole thing to load. There are some NICE topiaries. I love the festival. That is why we go in May. I will have some great pictures of the Festival on our trip there. I have some beautiful shots of the 2006 Festival. We mised last year! :(

And they have the Flower Power concerts in the afternoon and evenings near the American Pavilion. I saw a great report of Hermit's Hermits, with wonderful pictures. I wish we could have seen them. I love Herman's Hermits and especially Peter Noone. He is still cute! :p:
We will be seeing the likes of the Tokens (The Lion Sleeps tonight) and Davy Jones and a few other cool groups, oh yeah, Arlo Guthrie! IF we get over there. Ralphie loves The Lion Sleeps Tonight song, so I am sure we will try to make it for that show. :)

I love seeing all those topiaries and flowers. We'll be down at the end of next week for mother's day (doing the whole brunch thing at EPCOT).
At least it's not pirates (LOL) I do like my pirates but not all in my face and stuff.

Now, don't get me wrong. I loves me some Brian and the boys.

But I also LOVED the ambient music they used to play at the entrance to Future World. It was so. . .futuristic!

Every time we came to and left Epcot we could not figure out why Beach Boys songs and other songs of the 'beach and surf' type theme were playing there. We asked a couple CM's and no one seemed to know but they all seemed to hate it.

One guy just said "It's the official music of Future World." but I think he was being snarky LOL. I don't blame him. If I had to listen to Fun Fun Fun and Surfin' USA on a loop 8 hours a day at turnstiles I'd get snarky too!

So anyone know who made that great decision? I will be mentioning it in my letter to WDW as soon as I am well enough to write it- this WDW gunk I caught is still kicking my keister.

Well, I'm wondering if it's the same tape they play at DLR's California Adventure. The first time you hear it it's cute, but it gets old real fast.

Those are the most amazing topiaries I've ever seen! Too bad they didn't do Snow White the same way--everyone else has their face done. Zazu looks threatening, the way he's photographed. Like he's saying, "Misbehave, I dare you!"
