Stupid Guest Tricks

I though the Poohs Honey Hunt ride vehicles actually used some insane local GPS like system. I know there is one ride at the TDLR that does. The ride vehicles are basically free to move where they want and they know exactly where they are in the ride. Think of like Indy from the DLR on steroids. Those cars do what they want for the show part, but they follow a track. Pooh just gets rid of that permanent track I think.

It's interesting to me... you can see just how many times the cars have gone over that same place on ToT, because when it first opened, the floor was simply shiny with no wheel marks. I wish there was a good way to go remove those, because the attraction looked so much better without those. It was always very spooky to watch as your elevator pulled out into an area with no track or no visual guarantee as to where you were going.

Yes, this is what I have been told as well. I have also seen concept art for Disneyland's pooh that was going to use the next generation of the system (the one used for Aquatopia at Disney Sea), and the ride cars were to 'float' around outside before going into the main show building. The logistics must have been to crazy, and they cheaped out by bringing an abridged version of WDW's. WDW's pooh is tied together by the storybook pages throughout the ride (like they have in the movie), which DL's lacks due to being in critter country. </rant>

The high tech ride cars are more SG prone, as a cheerleader can lose a camera on ToT and get it crushed under the wheel causing a mad maintenance guy and a happy me.

I hear all kinds of stories from one of the float drivers that I know- He hates SGs who chase a water bottle into the street during the parade. Along with the spectro music from hearing it coming out of his seat.

Just keep in mind that Wikipedia is not based on actual facts or truth. In fact a direct quote from one of the admin of Wikipedia "Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth."

So beware of articles you find on Wikipedia.

Yeah, except that is like the 3rd or 4th place that I have heard/seen/read about the Pooh's Honey Hunt vehicles being LPS based. Just that Wikipedia was the easiest to pull up.

And Wikipedia on average has the SAME amount of factual errors as a normal encyclopedia. Heck, if the article is big enough, they reference damn near everything and there are people who are hounds about the article being totally non-biased and correct. Its scary at times.

The Pooh ride at DL has a center track it follows, dont know about WDW, never rode it, going to have to now in november to check it out. I believe Monsters Inc is the same, single track in the middle, these just travel in a strait line throught the attraction guests facing forward the whole time. I would guess the system without the track is a version of the Omnimover, something like Omnimover 5.0 or 6.0.

I felt sorry for the electric parade float drivers, that moog synth music will drive you insane. almost as bad as mike iceberg's creations. I heard it was like listening to a old hippy going gonzo on a casio keyboard....

Yes, but if you are one of those people and you keep fixing or changing incorrect information, then you get blocked for "reverting more then 3 times in an article".
