I've gotten that, word for word, a few times. The response is simple.

"I'm not paid a salary, sir."

Weirds them out every time, lol. And it's true, I'm hourly, I get paid wages based on the number of hours I work. A salary would mean that I would get paid the same amount each year regardless of how many hours I work, as per the employment contract between me and The Walt Disney Company.

(I knew paying attention in High School Economics would pay off one day!)

I probably would respond, "and so did him, her, those over there (pointing as appropriate) and every single person who purchased a ticket to enter the park today. Actually stock purchases more often go to infrastructure costs so your purchase is more likely paying for that water fountain or maybe, if you're lucky, one of the toilets. For that, I join many others in thanking you."

The look on someone's face when you inform them they are paying for a toilet would be priceless. :D:

That would also make a great sign in the restrooms! "part of your ticket purchase has helped to maintain the comfort level and cleaning of this facility, please don't waste your money!"

Love it! And I can actually see this being used in a Disney restroom, with good results. At least with the unthinking or inadvertant mess makers. The true SG can't read and unless the sign was verbal, with loud alert sounds, and locks the exit until you take a test proving you understand the announcement, few true SGs would understand or care.
