-k-... every time I see the initials TB the first thing I think they mean is Tuberculosis....

That aside, I have my own Taco Bell story. I was in the drive thru which was taking for-freakin-EVER! I was looking around, taking in the scenic back side of the Wendy's which was next door, complete with full to overflowing dumpsters, when I saw -It-.

A body at least 6 inches long with a good 7 inch slithery tail and beady little eyes that reflected in my headlights like a cat's. It scurried from under its dumpster hideaway / buffet, down the little hill separating the two fast food joints, right past the front of my car, and into the bushes behind the Taco Bell's Back door.

Completely grossed out, when I got up to the drive thru I told them about the rat frolicking on their back porch and the guy said....

"Oh really? We missed one? I'll send someone out to get that and add it to the taco meat right away!"

Yeah... I know he was kidding... but... ew?

"How much are the mugs? Well the 13 large signs at eye level all say the mugs are $12.99.. so I'm gonna go with that."

Burger King is just as bad. I went to one on 27 here in Florida, and I won't even go into how long I waited in the drive-thru because that's the norm there. I had ordered the Garden Burger or whatever it's called, which has a vegetarian patty in place of the meat. Unfortunately, when I opened it, there was NO patty whatsoever! None!

The drive-thru was still backed up to Georgia, so I went inside. The line there was just as bad, but I went right up to the counter because I had already done my waiting and wasn't gonna wait anymore. It took a while to get it through the supposed manager's head what was wrong. Finally she said they'd made me a new sandwich. So I stood there waiting. And waiting. Finally, when 15 mins. went by (normally I'd have said something sooner but I wanted to see if they'd really drag it out that long), I beckoned her back over and asked, "Uh, where is my sandwich?" "Oh, you didn't get it?" I bit back a snarky reply and said, "No, and at this point I just want my money back." So she says, "Well, it was rung up in the drive-thru so you have to drive around and go back thru there to get it."

HELL NO! I managed to regain my composure, but I have a loud natural voice and made sure to use it at a level the people around us could hear: "You have made an error and created this situation. Then you made me stand here for 15 minutes for nothing. Now you expect me to wait in that endless drive-thru line again just to get my money back. That is NOT going to happen. This has become your problem, and I don't care how you do it, but you're going to give me a refund here and now."

I think she could see it wouldn't be smart to push it further, so she somehow miraculously came up with my refund. I never darkened the doorstep of that hellhole again, since that was just the culmination of many instances of idiodicy.

In case you're interested, these this website, http://www.ripoffreport.com, as well as http://www.epinions.com, where you can complain about stuff like that. With epinions, if you open an account and keep making ratings, good, bad or indifferent, you can actually earn money for it. You won't get rich, but worth looking into.
