The photo overlay needs to be run thru Photoshop's "bass relief" filter... *Nods sagely* a little hand tweaking afterward, and you'd never know it was doctored... well... except of course that the face on the statue won't be right anymore...

Of course I don't think Fireworks HAS that filter... *Glares at it.* Fireworks and I are NOT on friendly terms.

Heh. That would be good if (1) I understood at all what you are talking about -- I'm still new at this photo-doctoring biz, and (2) I wanted it to be undetectable. A little roughness around the edges is fun (and much less time-consuming)!

How 'bout this one?

ROFLAMAO @ the hula girls Wombat.

Sorry about the shop talk... graphics is what I'm trained in. I'm the kind of Disney fan who gets misty over talk of multiplane cameras and nostalgic for pre CAPS gauche painted movies... which is oddly hypocritical considering the first Disney flick I ever saw was the Little Mermaid, when CAPs was first used, albeit only on the last scean.

Well, I'm having fun. As you can tell, it's kind of a slow day. Here's one more in keeping with my current pastime:

Any requests? :D:

You should have animated the eyes so that they open and look around every so often like Leota's face on the real tombstone does. :D:

Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious…

THIS is the one that should be your avatar!!! :D:

I've had LOTS of fun with PS for years. I think the first one I used was for win 3.1. I've been swapping parts around between people and objects, and changing locations since the early 90s.

Here's one of my most recent tricks:

Image

The fun thing about this picture is that not all the people were at the meet at the same time, and we met about a mile from the MK. And the image of the Station was taken 4 days before. And of course nobody is allowed to stand on the tracks for a photo. Oh, and I'm in the picture too, even tho I am the one taking the picture(s). I took all the pieces back to my campsite and sat in my tent and edited this image together in about 4 hours.

(Hint, for those who know him well, see if you can spot a certain bird in the crowd.)

Randy
