English pound coins have a nice heft to them too.

Guess it's time to do the usual SGT SCA roll call again.

Let's see, those I already know of...

Myself and Purpura
Lady Ulrike and her hubby
Cujo
Polar...

Anyone else?

Hail and well met,

I was once upon a time active in the Barony of the Middle Marches in the Midrealm.

Despite my long absence, I still have a trunk of saved garb and feasting gear and every August I dream of Pennsic.

Ah... memories.

Just so you know about the SCA M'lady Churchy, it can be quite political with people trying to be sorta uppity about who gets what role in what group- Seems less so out on the East Coast, and People out here in California don't seem to travel too far out of their areas. On the East Coast- they're more willing to travel to other areas and they're more interested in foods so they have feasts at nearly every event.... The East coast people also when they have a feast at an event also post the ingredients of foods, just in case someone has an allergy to wheat or some other food allergy.

Also people get into costumes, some of them quite elaborate and others go for comfort... I suggest if you wanted to get a costume together something simple, like a T-tunic would work as a dress. If you'd like :) I can show you one of my dresses at some point :)

10th Century clothing (like the sort the hubby and I have,) is very simple to make, and has great ease of movement.
