Then again, he could be right ... as a woman I can actually see his point.

We can be Emeralds, green with envy.
Or Rubies, red with shame or embarrassment.
Sapphires of blue on a particularly sad day.

And besides, I think there is a touch of romance in every pirate ... I mean, there are such things as wenches, the big busted, beer toting object of affection of any ol fella with a cutlass.
