I always heard it as:
To err is human, to foul thing up takes a computer, to really foul things up in a big way takes a big computer.
And both CDS and ATS are on big computers. (And I used to work in a building where we had some very large Blue Boxes and TWO cassette storage silos.)

In my area, its an automated tactical system, it teaches shooting techniques and tactics using laser enabled firearms and projected sceanarios, the trainee must react, and voice commands are interpreted and actually change the situation being projected.
somehow I don't think that is what he is referring too!!

Ok update: My friend was told by a coordinator to tell me that for some reason Labor was screwing things up and accidentally scheduled me the other day. So it wasn't my fault!!! YAY!!!

ATS = Automated Ticketing System
It's the computer system that tracks the remaining value on each and every ticket since the dawn of ... mag stripe tickets.

CDS looks, feels, and works like someone's 10th grade Java project.
Great idea in concept, horribly inefficient and unpredictable if not constantly tended to. If it just worked properly and had a better interface I'd love it, but wow, I don't know where all the $$$'s for it go.

Yeah, if it was properly designed it would know who was at what position so that I wouldn't get assigned to VM for three consecutive hours. It would go like this:
12:00 Come back from break, pull VM's break.
1:00 Get rotated to PC, re-deploy and pull VM break again.
2:00 Go to PC re-deploy and pull my break.
2:15 Re-deploy and pull VM again.
GRR I HATE VM!!! It is so easy to fall asleep back there where it is dark, with soft music playing, and having the barn theater film looping telling me "In Saudi Arabia and Mexico we're learning to produce food on desert sea coasts by developing and planting crops that thrive on Salt Water."

Okay, so just to be sure, they're going to make it so you don't have anything on your record card, or if you do, it's going to say it's their mistake and not some manager taking pity on you, right?

I just checked and my record card is clean and the NCNS disappeared off of my schedule. It was all labor's fault. So I'm fine! HEHE!!!

Good for you! That shouldn't be on your record card at all, given it wasn't your fault. And thank God my store doesn't use CDS, the stockers are giving a list of who they are breaking and at what times the breaks are. :D:
By the way, what is VM? Is it something related to the Land pavilion?
