Just please DON'T do like one of my co-workers. She is a big fan of a particular breed (I'm not a fancier so can't remember which one) but in one house there are two people and 47 cats!. And this breed is a delicate one so they spend a fortune on special feeds (different cats require different formulas) and vet bills. In fact when it's time to get the yearly shots for everyone, the vet insists on coming to them as he can't handle them taking up an entire day hauling cats back and forth in small groups (you can only get so many cat carriers into a compact car in one trip).Big Wallaby wrote:Can't wait to move and get a good cat infestation. People with that many cats sometimes get free air time on t.v. stations...when the humane society or animal control is taking the cats away!! That a LOT of kitty cats!! At one time we had four!!! (we "boarded" our kids two cats when they moved to an apartment that wouldn't allow animals) that was...interesting!! One would come down stairs and sleep next to the dog (german shepherd) on her bed. she got upset, but wouldn't do anything about it!!Randy B wrote:Just please DON'T do like one of my co-workers. That's why I have pairs instead of triplets with my animals. When you have 3 dogs, and they all start running around the yard, the one in front usually gets beat up on when the other two catch him. Same with cats. If you only have 2, usually one is dominant and one is submissive and the world is at peace. Not always so when there are 3 or more.Big Wallaby wrote:47 cats is just a little bit extremely excessive.
Actually, I think 3 is a very nice number. Two cats can entertain themselves... but a third just messes up all their fun with great results!
I only wish our furballs would come sleep on the bed with us. They are all very solitary and stuck-up cats now. I miss my Orion who ALWAYS slept right next to my head every night on his own pillow. Now that was a cat...*sigh*Cheshire Figment wrote:My house is infested with cats. And sometimes I wake up and they are both lying on the bed with me!
Good one...*scritch...scratch...*Zazu wrote:I'll see your Itchy and raise you a Scratchy: :itchscra:
A cat infestation is good to have, at least you won't have any TEENY TINY mousies, (We are not talking the World Famous Mouse here...) Make sure they are cuddlers....Big Wallaby wrote:Can't wait to move and get a good cat infestation. We're thinking three.
