How about this. Many glass shelves I see have a decorative metal edging on the front. What if those are wired to one treminus of a prod and the other to ground. Or better yet wire the prod terminals to alternating shelves. And come to think of it the same could be used for the front of "complaint desks" and counters. If an irate complainer shows signs of incipient violence, the desk fights back for you. And you can't be blamed for a "static buildup" deterring a potential problem. :D:
