Oh god, those...things, I guess you can call them, are the most annoying thing ever invented by man.

Over Thanksgiving week, it seemed like every boy under the age of 12 was wearing them.

I can see it now: "What do you mean I can't skate in here? They had a professional team when we went to Walt Disney World!? It's Disney's policy not to interfere in this kind of thing!"

Though technically, it's over at the Wide World of Sports complex, so it's not in the parks. But, when do SGs ever notice such little things like that?

We are talking about the same group of people who will get pissed off at a bus driver for informing them that there is no monorail from MGM to Universal... I think there was one story on these forums somewhere where the guest wouldn't believe something like that and demanded to speak to a manager!

You know, now that I think about it, I believe that was in the Here's Your Sign thread... Does anybody know whatever became of IndyandMarion? (For those who weren't around back then, he was the guy who started that thread and nurtured it into being one of the largest threads on these boards...probably second only to the Never Ending Story, give or take a page or two...) I liked that guy. He had a pretty good sense of humor. **If anybody hasn't perused the HYS thread, I highly recommend it. Not sure if all that old stuff got transfered over when Polar did the updates, but I suspect it's around somewhere...

While I do enjoy the new tone of SGT, I do miss some of the old style. And people. Even the ones that were before my time here.

I miss Indy... He posted a few times that he was getting pretty busy and wasn't able to contribute as much as he'd like. Every so often he'd pop in to say he'd be back soon, but even that has been a while. He was a great source of SG stories!

His profile does show that he's visited as recently as September, so maybe he's not gone for good.

And the same people who ask, "Where is that Magic Mountain ride? I know we rode it last time we were here." (of course meaning the Matterhorn, the doofuses or is it doofusi?), but then they ARGUE with the CMs that the ride IS in Disneyland. Maroos!
susi*I want to ride Magic Matterhorn Bwahahahahahaha*slicker

Yeah, I remember seeing that Indy post in September, so he is still out there somewhere in the great ether. Come back Indy, we miss you! Puleeeeeeze!

Wall, How has the tone changed since "back in the day"? I am curious. I read the old threads from time to time and thet are funny as hell too. I see more SG stories than threads going off topic...Is that what you mean? We do need lots more Sssssssss Geeeeeeee stories for sure. I will try my best to hunt them down at Christmas, whilst trying not to despoil my trip to the Magic. Of course I have a hard shell, and can take a lot of abuse before the cuss words come out, so I will be gathering the Ssssss Geeee stories if I happen upon them. Maybe Ralphie will buy me a laptop for Christmas... (PUHLEEEEEEEEZE!!!!!) I can take it with and start a thread *Dispatches from the Disney Front!* LOL! Tell Ralphie we need a laptop. I know, I know, you are all shocked and dismayed that we don't have one as of yet! Just have not needed one. We never leave the cave here. LOL! Beong retired with everything you need right here makes you hibernate more, wit the occasional obligatory trip to see the folks and the many joyous excursion to the Lands of Magic in Anaheim and Orlando(sorta), Buena Vista is more like it, right?
Need a laptop for the trip! Maybe even just rent one. Heh Heh Heh!!!!!

When I say the tone has changed, I can't really put my finger on it. Maybe the tone in which the stories were told was a bit more sarcastic? It seems to me there was less ADD at the time.

Again, I am not complaining about the way things are now. Sure, the never ending story has gone on far too long, but other than that... :D:

Okay that IS just the thing. I printed out all the specs on the laptop AND the sheet about helping a child, and I am going to give it to Ralph to look at. The problem may be right now we have put a LOT of money into our Disney trip and other things already so...I don't know if he will go for yet another expense this time of year. But I will keep pestering (NOT nagging) him about it. I like that it helps kids. That is very cool! And it is a simple little laptop that I could use to be on the net and then that would free up our home pooter for him to FINALLY get some time on it. I am ALWAYS on the pooter. He has to go on in the middle of the night when I am sleeping if he wants to do anything :D:

The neverending story is just that: NEVERENDING! So there! Neener! Neener! Neener! :p: LOLOLOL! J/K, Wallaby! And we would just start another one with perhaps a different theme if we closed that one down, you know it! You need to have a chat with hobie, he started it... :D:
