Without catching them in the act, what can the police do, assuming they have the license number? Can they put out a warrant for their arrest? I'm thinking that animal cruelty might be a felony in Florida now, including leaving an animal locked in a car. Seems to me the law changed recently, in favor of the animals. I hope they hang the bastards from a short leash and leave them blowing in the breeze as a reminder to anyone else stupid and cruel
enough to leave an animal locked in a hot car.

Kudos to your security and the local police. Please let us know how Lucky fares.

Please do update us abt dear little Lucky, Driver. This absolutely breaks my heart. As often as I rescue American Cockers, Calico cats & all others I never am able to comprehend the reasoning (there is none) for any animal cruelty. Each case sickens me more. As others stated, Thank God security got to Lucky in time!! If there is a fund set up for Lucky please pm me. I'll get the word out in SOCAL. S O Bs MUST be related to a$$hole vick.

If the police were there rescuing Lucky, they obviously would've gotten the plate number and VIN; if it was a rental car, they could trace it back to the rental place and get the owner's info that way. Sooner or later, they will catch up with this guy. It's really stupid what excuses people will come up with for surrendering a pet. The dumbest one I've heard of, bar none, is that the pet didn't match the decor of the owner's home! :notallthe Talk about having too much chlorine in the gene pool! What planet are these people from! It's an animal, not an accessory! People like that are in the same category as those who hoard animals and insist that the animals are healthy and well fed, but in reality all or most are dead, dying, sick and starving. People like that should be treated as they treated the animals--give them food irregularly, don't socialize, grrom or clean up after them, and see how they like it. As for Native American punishments, my great-great-grandma on my father's side was Cherokee, and they have the women do the torture and punishment to bring everything back into balance. The torture was drawn-out and very painful, and appropriate to the crime committed. I think if they want the criminal justice system to run right, with no recividism, have the Bureau of Indian Affairs take over, and have them mete out the punishment according to tribal traditions. The only choice a criminal might have is the choice of what tribe performs the punishment.

Sorry, but I have to ask. Why do you take your dog to work when you know you can only put him in the kennel? Wouldn't he be more comfortable at home?

I'm sorry but these people lack all common sense and should be painfully extracted from the Gene pool.

Last weekend I was going to bring my baby Tinka (a dog) to my grandparents house where we were having a pool party. I got her on her leash and was headed to the truck when I remembered that I had to go to Wal-Mart. Although I was running behind I took the time to unlock the door and unhook her leash to leave her at the apartment. It may have only taken me a couple of minutes in Wal-Mart but still it was very hot and a couple of minutes could have fried my poor baby. I decided not to chance it. It was a minor inconvenience but she is part of my family.

People that don't think should not be alive.

My doggy matches my decor (not why we got her), but even if she didn't we would still keep her cause she is awesome.

When we got our baby she had two types of worms, was very skinny and had a dull coat. We went through some serious medication getting her well and now everybody who sees her always says how beautiful she is. I hate that she had such a hard time at her beginning. Maybe that's why we baby her so much.

Is someone adopting the puppy or is he/she going to Orange County Animal services? I ask because my daughter and I went to animal services on Saturday to adopt a dog and left without one. Many of the poor baby's are so sickly acting there. So......we are back looking to adopt.

It seemed that luckeys owner thought he could skip the ten dollers it would cost to put his puppy in the kennel and instead opted to simply leave this friendly little guy locked in the cab of his F350. ..... After spending their day in the park, they got back to their car and left without even a second thought about their dog. I wish to god in heaven that I could get my hands on these people. I would lock them in a hot car and se how much they like it.
In any event, Lucky is fine. Happy and healthy and above all, loves to give kisses and play. I guess some good came out of this, as Lucky will now be adopted by someone who will love him.
I will continue to update you on Luckys story as more develops.
Much love. DC

Not SGT, just plain heartless.

Next time they want to go to MK from TTC; DC and myself will put the fuckers on the beam, tell them to run to MK, give them a 1 minute head start, and P-5 (40mph) the monorail in their direction.

Be a quick end though. Might be better to tie them up to one of the resistor banks

I can't understand why some people treat animals so poorly. They must have had a horrible childhood and, in a twisted type of revenge, are taking it out on some poor animal.

We adopted a greyhound who had been a race dog in Florida. His race name was Ripper but we changed it to Mac. Ripper may have been more appropriate as he could clear a room when he passed gas. Mac had some psychlogical problems due to living in a crate and being diciplined with a cattle prod. Race dogs lead a very bad life. Once he got use to us he was a great dog and a real clown. He was a 35 mph couch potato and could snag stuff off the kitchen counter without stretching.

Mac was very heat sensitive so when we moved to Hawaii two nurses from Stanford who already had a greyhound adopted him. He got a girl friend, a pasture to run in and horses to race in the deal.

Late last year he came down with leukemia. The nurses were able to give him pain meds so the last weeks of his life were good. He got fed steak every day and had lots of runs on the beach.

He was a great pooch.

I like the idea of making them run the beam, but instead of running them down pilot the train real close behind them and every so often run right up on their heels and back off again. Go slow but fast enough the guy has to jog the entire way, non-stop. Do it on the Epcot to TTC run, it's a longer way.

Before being thrown in prison this guy should be made to stand at the Hub in the MK wearing a sign saying he is cruel to animals. Let the guests (and CMs) publicly humilate him, that could be a better lesson than prison time.

Oh, and ban the guy for life from all Disney parks. People so heartless shouldn't be able to go to the most magical place on earth.
