Re: Aladdin show at California Adventure
Well, I am just a few posts in now, but I see it's been closed.
So nice to have SGT where we can have a conversation, see where it goes, and there's only one locked thread that I know of.

Re: Aladdin show at California Adventure
I didnt read every post in the thread, just havent had time. Some people were really out of line by what they posted in my opinion. I have seen the show 40 or 50 times and I always look for here and I have been clsoe enough to hear her sing and she is good. I think its great she has the guts and talent to do a show like that, and great Disney gives her the chance. But with some of the stuff people have posted I'm wondering if anyone knows her and can comment, no one there knows her, they have just seen the show so everything is hearsay.

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

I have my reasons for not liking them, but I'm not going to go into them here, for fear of incurring the wrath of the red-billed hornbill. :D:Big Wallaby wrote:Well, I am just a few posts in now, but I see it's been closed.

Re: Aladdin show at California Adventure
read the thread partially and since I was one of the 1970's DL sterotyping job denials as a teenager I feel finally Disney is looking at people not for where they might fit in but where they belong. In 1998 the only people with one arm that I saw was that the entrance to AK. It did not look right to have disabled people doing jobs elsewhere it seemed and only recently did I see anyone disabled at DLR.

Well, they are correct in that there were no wheel chairs during that time that we are aware of, and certainly not electric wheel chairs. However, the play is not a historical reenactment of a period of time, it's a play that has a genie and a flying carpet, so I say yay for the girl to be able to pursue a dream of using her talents on stage.
