I was just reading board X ( i know, i know, i shouldn't do that, it makes me a crazy person...but stephen king doesn't have any more new books out beyond "Blaze" yet, so i get bored between sememsters...i should learn to enjoy shopping or some chit..it would be time better spent) and they actually had an INFORMATIVE thread.

People are selling GAC cards on ebay. How freakin sad is that?

There are a lot of people emailing disney and ebay and complaining about them at least. Wow..score one for the x boards...

Maybe there is hope for the world..

This explains Munchausen By Proxy. Some people love the attention they get from a sick kid or pet or even themselves. "Poor Edna has to raise a sick kid" "Edna let me clean your house while you take a break" "Edna we at Mega Corp. are giving you and your sick kid a trip to WDW."

Other reasons people lie about having a sick kid or pet or that they are sick is to get free stuff such as welfare. People lie to use GACs, to get their kid into a park as a 3 year old, to get free stuff, to avoid paying for stuff and so much more. It is an old scam that existed before the parks did.

I see it online at a sweeps site. Their name is not Edna. Poor Edna has 3 kids and her husband is out of work and the youngest is not getting medicine as they are poor. People send Edna clothes, food, gift certificates and money. She sells what she can then takes off to Cancun for the week. Edna is a middle class suburban housewife who is not struggling to feed her one kid or her one healthy dog. It could just as well be Bob whose wife has terminal cancer and will die unhappy so people help Bob make her last days happy.

Fakers have been around since the beginning of time. Munchausen by Proxy is worst.

Personally I would suggest the military type pineapple...with the pin tied to a string so that it can be tied to the bumper of a departing bus or monorail!

I've hear of people doing that. There are some people who think that even a few people on board X do that to their children to get free stuff from people...all in the name of their children.

They have to be the center of attention. When the attention diverts away from them or their child, they sometimes do something to the child to aggravate the child's condition (if the child actually has any real condition at all), so as to regain the attention from the rest of the board members. Or, they will say that something happened to the child in order to regain that attention.

When the rest of the board members grow tired of the attention whore, they divert their attention away from the person, and they finally realize that they have "been had" for so long, they seem much happier as a result. The attention whore then realizes that the game is up, and either feigns innocence or awareness, or leaves the board altogether.
