I'll make a Costco beer run today. Those new Heineken self contained mini kegs look like the way to go.
Yep, plus you can use them as flotation devices.

Do you just duct tape them to your arms ?

Maybe make a vest out of them...

I love multifunctional devices.

We're starting to see clouds coming in from the south-east. The trade winds out of the north-east are blowing at 21, gusting to 35. They should hold Flossie to a west north-west direction.

or you are trying to discourage a visit from Darph. :D:
This would be my guess. :D: A hurricane, earthquake, & darph. One more factor & you'll have The Four Horsemen of The Apocalypse hobie.

My guess is Darph will have his cooler, I believe that is number 4.

I think you're right. I just saw a large styrofoam box blow by.

5 PM Update

Flossie has dropped to a category 1 storm. Winds 98 mph gusting to 121. 156 miles south of the Big Island

The southwest side of the Big Island is seeing 25 foot waves and winds gusting to 50+ mph.

Hilo harbor is closed which means the Pride Of Hawaii cruise ship was diverted to Maui. A loss of 2,900 SGs coming ashore.

At this point it looks like the rest of the islands won't see anything other than some higher than normal winds. Not even much rain which we could really use.

The Central Pacific Hurricane Center just said the upper level trade winds are starting to tear Flossie apart. It may be downgraded to a tropical storm later tonight.

Thank you all for your thoughts!!

Long as you get some good surfing out of it, though, it's okay with me if it falls apart into a cute little stormy-wormy. Ooh boo goo goo boo! There's a good little stormy.
