Wow! I hope you got the number on that bus and documented the date and time. Those idiot drivers remind me of the trash drivers around here...Athens Service.

They are the idiot drivers who drive the small pickups with the forklifts (the ones who move the dumpsters from the tight places to where the big trucks can get to them easier). In the apartment building where I used to live and NOW on a major street which is on the way to my place now, they are always speeding and driving like crap. Not paying attention to anyone around them. They would drive about 30 miles an hour in the parking lot of the apartment building where I used to live. On the street, they make sudden and unsafe lane changes in and out of traffic. I've been meaning to call Athens but I haven't. The next time I see them do this i'm calling and reporting them.

A few weeks ago I was coming out of the Celebration Shopping Center and almost got hit by a Mears Limo making an illegal U-Turn. There is a left turn lane on 192 Westbound just West of the 417 overpass to enter Celebration Place. It is very clearly marked with a "No U Turn" sign. I saw from the front he had a Mears plate and I was able to catch up with him and get the plate number.

I called Mears, asked for the Safety Officer, and reported the incident.

I had an incident with a Mears cab and saw one with a Mears bus.

I was Signal 72 out of PI going to AKL. I turned on to Osceola parkway and brought the bus upto 45mph (legal speed limit) There is a traffic light which lets eastbound traffic turn onto World Drive to head for the parks. I'm about 100' from the light, and it's green to me. All of a sudden a Mears cab bolts across the highway, running the red light and you could tell he never looked. I E-stopped the bus to avoid t-boning this idiot. (thanking the good lord that I had a new Gillig with excellent brakes) No one hurt or even shaken up (except me) on my bus as both my trainer and I screamed for the guests to hold on. I didn't have time to catch a number, I was more concerned about my guests.

The bus incident was on Hotel Plaza Blvd. Big yellow mears bus pulls out of Royal Plaza Hotel right in front of a car, travels into the left lane and back into the right lane in the span of 30 seconds, no signals, DOT approved turns or I'm guessing a look in his mirrors either and proceeds to turn into the next resort. Again, I'm too busy avoiding the car in front of me ( who is avoiding the bus) to get a number.

These drivers are a menace to society.

More power to you, Wallaby. I hope this will result in some positive changes.
