I kind of liked standing out front when a ride was 101.
Guest: What's wrong?
Me: You really want to know?
Guest uhh, yes (comes closer)
Me: well, ok then, come here I don't want everyone to know
Guest: (comes right up to me) so what's wrong?
Me: well, first off, my dog died. I had him for 15 years so he was part of my family, then my wife left me out of the blue----
Guest: I MEANT THE RIDE, WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE RIDE?
Me: Oh...that....well it's not running right now. It will be open later.
Was also fun making stuff up
Guest: What happened to big thunder mountain?
Me: Well, we had a problem with "flying elephants" coming over from fantasyland and we had to close the ride down and clean off some trains.

I was working Eo one day. A couple came up, asked how long until the next show, I answered, and they walked away.
Another guest immediately rushes up, excited, and asks, "What was that?" (acting like I just told that couple the answer to the meaning of life, or something).
"What was what?" I say.
"Ummm," the confused guest responded, as only a guest can do. "Where are they going?"
"I don't know," I respond, "do you want me to call them back and ask them?"

I used to enjoy telling guests that Pirates was down because the pirates were having their mandatory annual bath :)

^ LOL! Oh man that's good. I've never really seen many people ask for
how long the line is. Those big stand-by wait signs take care of it.

HA!!! We had a particularly horrible breakdown on Pirates the day that
O.J. Simpson was supposed to turn himself in and ended up leading the
cops on that stupid chase...I don't think the guests were aware of what
was going on - I was at the bottom of the bridge and they were asking
why the ride was closed and I was telling them that the cops were
chasing OJ inside the ride...
About an hour after that, I was at the attraction doors, up by the
turnstyles when lo and behold, there went all the media and police
helicopters making a beeline north over the 5.

bwahahahahahahaha! That was a fun day, I was on lunch break when
that started so I was at the Adventureland breakroom watching it unfold.
Classic stuff. When I got back to Big Thunder, we started giving OJ
updates over the mic to the queue and people were cheering. Damn that
whole OJ thing was strange wasn't it?

I remember that day. My dad took us to a roller hockey game. We were
near the five and he suddenly heard OJ was passing near us. He pulled
over and a min later he zoomed past us. All we could see was a flash of
white and then 6 black flashes.

Hey, I was up there too! (for part of it anyway...) There must have
been at least 20 people crammed in that little area trying to watch it on
t.v. I know a couple of us from Pirates figured the ride was down
anyway, so no big deal if we were upstairs...lol!!! Earlier that day, I was
at the Inn Between when his lawyer went on t.v. to announce that OJ was
a fugitive and to turn himself in, but I didn't think that it would go
anywhere near the park.
Funny thing was that a good friend of my hubby works for the Anaheim
P.D. The Anaheim cops got a call over the radio that there was a fugitive
murder suspect on the loose and that if they were able to stop the
vehicle and he got out and was in the least bit aggressive, they were
supposed to shoot to kill...however, the dispatcher never put out over the
radios that it was O.J. Simpson they were after. They didn't find out until
after the Bronco was outside of Anaheim jurisdiction...
