I don't work in any sort of entertainment venue. I work in a pharmacy... we have the same problems. Yes, we do close at the posted time & no, we can't just fill your prescription for you that the doctor has a date on of 3 days ago!! I figured Disney had this licked since I picked up a TIME SHEET at the entrance which told me what time EVERY attraction closed. I guess when you are on VACATION, you should not have to READ. (I think that might be an amendment to the Constitution, if you actually look close enough! teehee!)

No sir/madam. We will not keep the store open for you. I'm sorry, but we will close on time. Well, I feel terrible that you drove all the way out here to do your shopping, but we must close now. You don't speak English? Well, I find that rather odd, maybe my ears are playing tricks on me, but I thought I heard you speak English a few minutes ago to your family/friends, who are currently with you. No, I'm afraid I can't let you stay another five minutes to let you check-out this one thing which oddly enough turns into ten minutes or ten more things. I'm sorry, but we must close now, on account of we, the staff that work here to ensure your shopping experience is pleasurable, must go home and spend time with our family and friends. Yes, I know life isn't fair.

It's not just that they don't have to read, they also don't have to listen, don't have to look, don't have to mind that what they're doing doesn't affect anyone in the vicinity...it's all about
THEM. ;)

A lady (and I use that term 'loosely') comes up to the front door this morning, I tell her "We don't open until 10:00". She gets all bent, " That's Bull Shit". I politely tell her "No that's 45mins from now". :D: Now she starts bitching " I'm taking a big chunk out of 'MY' day to come down here". Of course I'm thinking " Too bad the REST of the world can't work around YOU".

I know what some of you have to go through. It gets really annoying, when you work on the last shift of the day and you have to clean up and close shop. I used to work at the night shift at a rental car agency and you get calls for a "last minute order." Day in and day out for most of my shifts, there always seem to be such cases I had to face. I swear that the literacy rate has gone down with some people. It just means more headaches for everyone involved, especially on the weekends. There would be times I ended up staying on shifts for 12 hours (4 hours overtime) because the management team had to rely on reliable "CMs" (employees in this case) to get things done on time! Every time that happens, I end up being the one picked first because I was the more reliable one than most with me. With the wage I get with them, it is not worth the effort.

I got one for u. How about when the ride goes down and you tell people that yo uare down due to technical difficulties or to the people who dont speak english ... we r broken. People tell me no you are lying. i finally get to the point that i tell people no i am just staning out here for my health. You think when u see a wall of cast members that means we are closed. Then people want their money back because they can not ride space mountain. i swear people think that space mountain is the only ride in the park.

..."pulling the race card..."
Like Oprah did in London (?) a few years ago when the store she wanted to shop in, had closed at their normal hour?
Poor, poor Oprah did not get a chance to shop, and she pulled the race card, "They wouldn't let me in the store because I am black."
No, you stupid bitch, the store was CLOSED, and the employees wanted to go HOME.
And the store actually apologized to Oprah!

OMG you mean there are other rides in the park. I am so upset now that I am going to get the vapors. Why didn't you tell me there were other rides. I want my money back because you did not inform me that there were other rides available.

What makes Oprah think she can do whatever she wants, just because she's "OPRAH?" A few years back when Oprah brought the first graders to Disneyland, she moved the parade up early to 11:00 A.M for own personal convienence and spend less time in the park, so she doesn't have to spend any more time then she has to in the park. So the CMs who were doing the parades had a 12 hour parade shift with 4 hours of doing nothing. Some CMs said she doesn't like the park at all. She closed down rides so that only her and the first graders could rides. She caused trouble throughout the parks with the Cast Members. The guests complained about her.
