I was wondering the same thing. Anyway, good job Dylan. And if there's any justice this side of heaven, those adults will soon find themselves permanently on wheels, battling self-centered sleazebags.Marilou wrote:I'm also curious to hear what (sigh) if anything happened with security on this. How is security BTW when it comes to something like this? Are they able to respond quickly enough to be there when SG tries to bolt?...

Being a smaller person, I know I become intimidated easily. Great job and great call, Dylan! I hate when a guest is able to intimidate me, and I am not in a position where I can call someone. Luckily, karma usually kicks them in the ass!
Cant remember if I told this story or not, but I was at Pan Merge with a line out to carrousel. A guy comes up, no FP- claims they gave it to the 'girl outside' (I know for a fact its a guy, and he knows better than to take someones FP). I tell him he needs a FP to come in this way. He insists that 'she' took it at the front. I tell him "Well, if thats the case, go on back to 'her' and get it, and tell her that if 'she' did take it, to take your party through the exit. He refuses and gets all beligerent, yess at me, and pulls out a (Mexican?) police badge. I tell him "OK, what are you going to do with that, that is not a fastpass." Eventually, I just kind of give up since he is becoming more rude and loud, and I have to keep the line moving. While his party is on the ride, we go 101 for about 20 minutes!

You should have called the police. The idiot should have been arrested for terroristic threatening.Driver_dylan wrote:Then, when I threatoned to call security, the guy told me that if I did he and his brother wold kick my ass before that could get there. Now I am no weakling by any streach of the imagination, But I don't feel like loosing my job, so I waved the train clear then radioed the driver to hold for security at base. That was where I started to wonder. Is the world getting ruder, or is it just guests at Disney.

Apparently the Group got worse with security at TTC and was latter detained by Local Law Enforcement. I will Continue to update you all as I have friends in security.

VISA. It's everywhere you want to be, and a lot of places you don't.

And it's not just SG's at WDW or DL. It's not just a high school kid who punches a coach. It's at all levels.
Remember a few years ago when the professional basketball player, Latrell Spreewell (sp?) choked his coach ? Wow, he was suspended for a few games. Was there any criminal charges ? Nope. Did he offer an apology to the coach? Not to my knowledge. Although he was eventually traded, today he continues to play basketball.
What should have happened is that he should have been banned from the NBA, and he should have spent some time in jail for criminal assault!
People see that on the news, and then find out that nothing serious happened to the player, so they think it's okay to become belligerent to others, because nothing serious will happen to them.
And this increased violence has not come from video games, or TV, or the movies. It has come from a society that seems to "up" its tolerance for bad behavior by adults and kids alike. And a product of that attitude is that no one is responsible for themselves or their own actions. It's now the other guy's fault.
Spill hot coffee on yourself? Sue.
A character "slapped" your kid? Sue.
You son, with a weak heart, dies on a ride? Sue.
We need tort reform in this country! That would be a start.

it's just awful how these low life, trashy people act. they just show how ignorant and stupid they are by acting this way. people like that are a waste of space. the only bad thing about someone getting their karma is that we aren't around to witness it.
you handled the situation well Dylan.

Wow. That is horrible. I can't believe guests would act that way. What is the world coming to?Driver_dylan wrote:Update:

To answer other questions. Security is usually pretty responcive on the Monorails, and the few times It has come to it, the will usually get there in short order. Much praise and respect to WDW Security for that.

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

Here is a good one for you all. A teacher friend of mine just returned from China where she chaperoned a H.S. band trip. Once particular genius was obnoxious and beligerant to everyone.... they warned him once... the second time he broke the rules (caught smoking at the Great Wall of China!) HE WAS SENT HOME at his parents expense. We are talking thousands of dollars for last minute airfare, transportation, and more. It was all in the agreement the parents signed. She said the kid was cocky until he left...... I would have loved to be a little bird on that wall when he got home... though, with that attitude nothing probably happened... in my house the kid would have gotten a whooooooopin!
Take care and way to handle a tough situation, Dylan!

Well,I'm sure dudspizza, that if his parents could afford to send him to China, they could afford to ship his butt back. (I don't know for sure, just pure speculation on my part) :( .Of course he had to learn it from someone.
