I doubt anything will come of this other than what I stated before. Pirate, Princess and Parade Performer are not that hard for a new person probably. There are a lot of things you have to learn of course but a happy winner might be able to get through one of those.

I think the Mansion jobs will be greeters and not deal with the actual ride operation. As for the Jungle Cruise I cannot see how they would let someone drive a boat unless it was family and CMs. That boat may be on tracks but you got to time the speed and stopping which would require some getting used to.

Knowing Disney Corporate imbeciles it is possible for them to have the winners operating the rides and driving a parade float. No way are CMs going to benefits from any winner griping about their "job" and the only way things might change is if there was and injury or death.

[quote="Main Streeter"]Very interesting, insightful reply bpg. I ALWAYS enjoy your posts! I'm not in Attractions but think walking a belt would be difficult for some - especially with no training & if there might be a balance issue. Exit turnstyles? Ya, real difficult work. ]
Thanks MS! I always have the highest respect for merch/stores, especially after reading some of the great magical moments created in stores ;)

A very good friend of mine is a finalist in the mansion butler contest. I have total faith in him that he knows how to operate the attraction and could probably pass an assessment on the mansion in a day (I consider him an authority on mansion info). However, some of the other candidates worry me. I have been told that attraction leads do have a say in the final selection. While I'm really happy for my friend, I do have a feeling he'll be a bit dissapointed.

And Zazu, you have an extremely good point. I have had a few guests compliment me for keeping calm in crazy situations, dealing with difficult guests, etc.

Still waiting on that Great (Guest) Service Fanatic card....

If you really want to hear cheering guests, get an SG hauled off your attraction by the sheriff! :handcuff:

Aren't we all in this line bpg? ;) Last night I received a "Great Guest Service" card from a lead. This doesn't count like a Fanatic Card tho. :(

You just have to impress somebody who has one. Some department hoard them like first-edition Disney Dollars, others have a stack on a desk. I try to keep a few around to hand out both to co-workers and when I'm in as a guest.
