Since I have a bad hip (and handicap tags) if I go to eat at one of the deluxe hotels I will use the free valet parking. (I do tip well, both coming and going.)

Often the valets will not figure that I am local (even though my license plate is F1GMENT and I have a "Save Disney" bumper sticker) and will ask me if I need directions. I will always ask "how do I get to Disneyland". Generally they try to direct me to the Magic Kingdom. If I press the point the general suggestion is to start by going to the airport.

Whatever you do, DO NOT ask a small world CM if they get tired of the song. As some of us in F-land crosstrained on small world and dumbo debated and came to the conclusion, Dumbo has the most annoying music. Circus music :banghead:

I have to agree... hearing Dumbo all day has got to be the worst.

I think I may simply not say anything to anyone at all... I just made some dining reservations, and of course immediately forgot my kid's ages and how many were in my party.

fuggedaboudit..... i'm a lost cause.

No, that's not advanced stupidity. That's just an annoying question, one you probably hear a lot. A better question might be where one could audition to become one of the dolls. Cause, y'know I was just thinking that after I passed on I might want to have my body shellacked and put on display as an AA in It's a Small World. (because the Haunted Mansion is just too obvious).

Personally, I want my Skeleton to be part of PotC. :D:

I highly suggest you read the park maps carefully in order to avoid ridiculous questions. For example, at Disney MGM Studios, here are some of the dumb guest questions:

At the Great Movie Ride...
Guest: Is this a ride?

At Star Tours...
Guest: Is this a roller coaster?
Guest: Does it go upside down?
Guest: What's a child swap?
Guest: What's a simulator?

At Rockin Roller Coaster...
Guest: Is this a ride?
Guest: Is this a roller coaster? Where is it?

At Backlot Tour...
Guest: Is this a roller coaster?
Guest: Is this a ride?
Guest: Does this go upside down?

At Tower of Terror...
All of those questions

With all due respect, I have been going to Disney World for decades (I remember when EPCOT was new), and do know what rides are what. And I do study the maps carefully, mostly to avoid the parade routes at certain times of the day and to find the nearest restroom or food.

But further, I *want* to ask ridiculous questions, just not the same normal ridiculous questions you're always asked. Asking if the Great Movie Ride goes upside down is prosaic. Asking when it will be available on DVD, or if I can get popcorn shows a touch more cleverness.

But again, the balancing act is making sure not to annoy people further with obviously stupid questions. My intent is to amuse not annoy.

while on that topic.. is it a ride about great movies? or a great ride about movies? and is that great as in size or is it a superlative? and how many days of clothing should i bring to the voyage of the little mermaid? is the tower of terror really scary or do they just call it that? why is it called the honey, i shrunk the kids playground when everything is so big?

incidentally, i checked an MGM map and it's the ride description of star tours that seemingly would prompt someone to ask what a simulator is.

i don't see anything on the map about child swap either.

fine line between stupid questions and annoying ones you hear all day long, i suspect.
