NO! These children "should" be kept at home, but I realize what you mean Patty. The $$ handling by guests simply groses me out! If a guest licks fingers then counts $$ to me I use a kleenex & don't give a damn what the guest thinks of me. They certainly don't care abt my health. I finally gave in & submitted a restriction which allows me to wash whenever needed. No, I don't have OCD but was at DCA Pier one day when I saw something which drove me to WANT access to hot water & soap. Good old Emporium & their restrooms. Wish we still had Prell @ all cashwraps. Guess this became too expensive for DLR.PattyA wrote:All sick kids should be contained in the cart

Of course, everyone realizes that there are more germs on shopping cart handles than on toilet seats, right ?
How about an informal poll? Does your supermarket have a dispenser (and sign) to wipe down shopping carts ?

Thats why I want the sick kids left in there..The dif germs can battle each other instead of me! LOL We could then discuss those who don't bother using the bags for their produce items and plop them down on my turnstile that doesn't get sanitized enough due to the clerks being over worked. But that would be another story.leftcoaster wrote:Of course, everyone realizes that there are more germs on shopping cart handles than on toilet seats, right ?![]()
Yes we do, but only the customers with OCD use it! ;)leftcoaster wrote:How about an informal poll? Does your supermarket have a dispenser (and sign) to wipe down shopping carts ?
Field trip assignment....
Go to the grocery store and watch the checkouts for about 5 mins.
You will have plenty of SGT to discuss here.
Re: Diseased Children...Ugh!!
i just saw an SGT at Kohl's today... a new register opened up - - and the cashier carefully said "I can help the next-in-line here." Of course, the third in line ran over before you could blink.
sheesh.
sheesh.

Geez left, my midnight Ralph's trip is now no longer anticpated. ;) YUCK! Our markets have the wipe's holders but not the wipes. All the illegal's feel they are entitled to take the wipes. Why buy them when they are free outside? :( Keep those pesos for pizza & beer!leftcoaster wrote:there are more germs on shopping cart handles than on toilet seats, right ?![]()

If it doesn't have a padlock and chain, most consider it free!
In my area we have more Russians than Mexicans.
The mexicans are more in Eastern WA to work the fields.
Either way and for all races, everyone trys to get as much freebie stuff as possible. Usually they steal it.

VISA. It's everywhere you want to be, and a lot of places you don't.

Re: Diseased Children...Ugh!!
At my work, I make sure to have a hand sanitizer with me and I spray down everything with Lysol. (phones, doorknobs, keyboards, etc.) There is a work restroom that is shared by 8 employees ( male and female ) and there are times when I clean it 'cause it gets gross. And it's not the men either. But we have idiots who work here walking in with nasty coughs that I KNOW don't wash their hands, hence my crazy ass ninja cleaning style.
Re: Diseased Children...Ugh!!
I have had to give "the talk" to many employees who do not know or practice BASIC hygene. But nothing is worse than to see an employee who doesn't wash. That takes the creepy crawlers to a yucky level!LittleDollClaudia wrote: But we have idiots who work here walking in with nasty coughs that I KNOW don't wash their hands, hence my crazy ass ninja cleaning style.
(Reason why you see the notices for "EMPLOYEES MUST WASH HANDS BEFORE RETURNING TO WORK" yep, gotta be reminded. I hate to see how they live.

My Ralphs has the wipes inside the store. Once you get a cart inside, the wipe dispenser is next to the carts.
