At least not before you've been to Alfie's on 29th Street. ;) Right darph? :D: Have not heard "Have A Mickey Day" much. I think store's CMs miss a lot as we're never out & about, yet we do have our own language.

CMs at DLR Grand Californian use this greeting also.

You're starting to scare MS. Next you'll be telling me the name of my favorite beer (sorry) bartender.
(do you have a Tucson phone book stashed away some place?)

I'm currently arguing with my managent about this very thing. I'm a resort operator, and even the basic guest has heard it 5 or 6 times by the time they get to the resort. Now, consider that most of the guests calling up are complaining about something, forcing us to end the call with "have a Magical day" is like throwing lighter fluid on embers.
And I have heard other cast members use it in a less than polite manner.

On the flip side of that coin, I had a guest ask me why we don't act more like CM's because we are SOOOO close to the resort. I don't know if "sorry, have a magical day and stuff it up yer a$$" was a very good response. Oh well. I still have my health. :cough, cough:

At the DRC its a Quasi-requirement that we have to say it. But now with these new phone surveys, we have to hang up on the Guest for them to get it if they were selected for it. So the end of a call goes something like this:
"Thanks for calling Disney, and have a Magical Day." RELEASE
Once we say the Day, we hang up on them. I've seen cast members be a little zelots when it comes to release calls now.

I HATE (and I am not a hater) when I have to call customer service, and they thank me for calling. i.e. - The saga of the Lowe's lawn tractor. I purchased said tractor in March 2006. It has been replaced once, in the shop 8 times (warranty covered it, thank God) and finally, last week, after I had it serviced and prepped by the shop that did all the warranty work - it went up in flames. It is now a charred piece of metal. Everytime I had to call the extended warranty hotline, they thanked me. I DON'T WANT TO BE MAKING THIS CALL. I WANT TO BE MOWING MY LINE. I AM NOT CALLING TO CHAT WITH YOU, OR TO AMUSE YOU. It really gets on my nerves - "Thank you for calling Lowe's Advantage!" Lowe's advantage my . . . .

LAWN. I want to be mowing my lawn. Although there have been lines at WDW that I would have happily mowed down . . .
