Peter Pan, pirates, and a big cannon that goes boom. :D: Basically when in the MGM version the canoes with indians (native americans if you want to be politically correct) come out at Disneyland it's a big boom and you have Pan and the gang on a pirate ship dueling with Captain Hook. I just think that's much more impressive than the Pocahontas portion of the MGM version. Now if you really like Pocahontas, then maybe the MGM version is more for you.

Also the time we saw it at MGM during the finale the characters were on the stage...I've since heard that that's not normal and there must have been a problem that day. But, with that being said at Disneyland's version the characters are on the Mark Twain and are led by Steamboat Willie, another aspect that I liked much better.

MGM has:

Stadium seating
Small Island
Small Lake
Small Mark Twain Finale
Pocahontas
More Villians
Rain Show, all projections (So I heard)

Disneyland has:

No Stadium seating
Big Island
Big Lake aka Rivers Of America
BIG Mark Twain Finale
No Pocahontas, instead, Peter Pan
Less Villians, no Cruella De Vil
No rain Show, alternate ending: island finale, no pirates flying around, they are grounded
Smaller viewing area, no benches
