this whole conversation reminds me of the disney cast myspace group where one CM posted something about "praying out the gay" and was promptly e-attacked by about 50 CMs... :D:

I work with a lot of gay people and i find absolutely no problem with it.

I just left a thread on MYSpace where someone was complaining that they thought CM's were hitting on her (I think she thought it was because of her good looks) when the CM's were doing what we do best. We can't even be nice to people anymore without it being considered something wrong. This is also true about all of our CM's not matter what their orientation is.

My opinion? Either deal with it or if you are homophobic or don't like being treated like a person, then don't come. We are here to provide a little fantasy and relief from all of the outside world's issues. PLEASE do not bring them in here and expect us to play your game!!!!

Soap box now goes back into the corner for the next CM :D:

Personally, I find it detracts from the magic and my enjoyment of the attractions if there is a possibility that a nearby CM might not be 100% heterosexual.

Oh, wait, no it doesn't. Seriously, what is the concern here???

Oh, yeah, Fantasyland is not the only place where majority of the CMs are gay, but in entertainment too, most the parade male performers are gay. One of my friends was lucky enough to be "one of the parade dancers that was straight."

Yes, Disney does have a company wide domestic partners policy, which is life as it should be. No judgements, simply the identical red tape that straight people have to go through.

the only thing I care about is if other CMs are doing their jobs.

Yes I used to be one of the straight male CMs in MK entertainment. They used to refer to us as the TSGs- Token Straight Guys. Never bothered any of us. In fact about five years ago now (gods was it that long ago already? nuts I have to get them an anniversary present for next month) I was in the wedding party for a wedding/commitment ceremony for two frinds from my entertainment days who I still hang out with occaisionally today. But like everyone else replied, why does it matter?

i am sorry i posted this. i am gay, i do not have any problems with homosexuality. i know that there are gays and lesbians throughout the park, including custodial.
i just wondered if fantasyland has more gay men than other areas of the park. is was just a curiosity question.
sorry if i offended anyone.

It takes courage to post the above. Through your questions perhaps we all learned & are more educated. Stay on SGT site. Don't feel you must leave us. :)
