You CM's are the one's that give DW it's magic, thanks so much, and please forgive those of us that sometimes lapse int SGT land. I am glad you have a place like this so you can vent off some of the steam.

It is guests like you and your family that provide us CM's with these "Magical Moments". A smile and occasional thank you go a long way more so than money can ever buy. We take being a part of the Magic and Making your Dreams come True very seriously. There is nothing better than seeing a child's eyes light up or a parent smile when we "Make the Magic". Korny you may say? Well I get a chill down my spine every time I provide a little magic to a guest. :D: :piano: :mickey1: :minnie:

The stupid free dining option has so many more guests than normal eating at table service that we've had to cancel cast discounts and add table service hours and locations. Did you know that the Tomorrowland Terrace is now table service, with tablecloths and everything? Chef Mickey's is even serving lunch.
Is this something that applies continuosly or is it just while it's busy?? I'm going to be there in just under two weeks and I really want my discount. :bawl:

Anyway, so all of you WDW guys look out, I'll be out there soon, and full of relief. If anyone wants to get together (my exact dates are Sept 10-17) PM me. Also, quick question...is it still hot out there in Florida 24/7 this time of year, or does it get cool at night?

Just until Oct. 7.

There there, it's still good for breakfast and lunch. For dinner, invite one of us locals who has a DDE card and get an even *bigger* discount!

Define "hot".

This week the highs are around 90, but that's because we have a tropical storm passing through. Max is about 94. Lows are around 75-80.

DarinMartell wrote:Hello, I have been a "lurker" for a long time but I just had to register for this one. We are guests, and KNOW how hard you CM's have it! We love you for all of the hard work you do for us. Our trip last year earned us the SGT title. It was 3am after a 14 hour day of adreniline, caffine, and sugar. I wake up to the sound of my seven year old getting sick all over the bathroom floor. I get him settled and almost add to the mess when I try to clean it up. I'm just glad it was not on the carpet! My wife called mouskeeping and this poor guy shows up with a toolbox full of gloves, cleaning supplies, and BIO Hazzard bags. I told him how sorry we were and that I felt bad that he had to do this in the middle of the night. He told me that it had been a slow night and that we were ONLY his 10th room that night!! Can you imagine that? His job was to clean up after people that have gotten sick from full days in the park In a 6000 room hotel!! Yet he was really friendly, he even wen't to the linen closet to get us new towels for the morning! Then, when I tried to give him a lousy $15 (all I had not travellers checks) he didn't want to take it! I had to ask him to please take it so I would feel a little better before he would accept it. Not SGT. Sir this was understandable, but most likely appreciated by this CM. I wish we all saw more guests like you. :D: :)

VISA. It's everywhere you want to be, and a lot of places you don't.

I had a tour in of Asians a couple of nights ago, I don't know where they were from, but they were different than the run of Asian tours I've had for the last few weeks (diff. tour comp. even!) All of these rooms kept me running my ass off for extra blankets, pillows, towels, stopped up toilets-all the usual stuff, but the thing is: every one of these rooms was tipping me! Seriously: I don't stand their with my hand out when I've done what a guest requested (It's my job and I get payed pretty well for it-I am the night 'Manager on Duty' for what that's worth) but these people were shoving money into my hand for the littlest things! They didn't know, but they bought me breakfast in the morning! Tips definitely aren't the reason to work front desk, but they do make hard days just a little more bearable...

To the guests who wrongfully called themselves SGs: You're not SG's, you're Polite Guests (PG's?) who were embarassed (EG's?) about an Unfortunate Situation which could have happened to anyone and, therefore, you made a magical moment for a castmember (CM) who probably remembered (as a result of your interaction) why he loves making magic (read: cleaning puke so a guest can get a good night's sleep) and you turned him back into a happy castmember (HCM?) But what do I know, I'm just a Stupid Disney Follower (SDF) [the term 'stupid disney follower' was pulled from another thread, so I don't remember who to credit, but it's funny enough it stuck with me, so if it's yours, congratulations!]

So... I guess what you're saying is that SG isn't a title one can apply to oneself, and that a CM has to decide if you're worthy of the SG title? :D:

You know there's a less arbitrary process than that! ]
