That's really good. I don't think I could ever have done an ambidexterous day. I could sew small and pretty, but not backwards and NEVER left handed :p:
I had to do the same thing I did when I learned to drive a stick and take my shoes off in order to learn how to sew the names. I'd plant one knee against the shelf that used to be under the sewing maching and have my feet shoulder width apart. I was really afraid of the noise those old things used to make, and it seemed that my fingers would occaissionally get nicked by the pointy presser foot or the needles. My beginnning sewing stance wasn't as bad as one of the old managers - another manager used to swear that she couldn't sew a name on a hat without swinging her hips in a circle in sync with the way she was turning the crank. She was sort of a big girl, so it was quite a dance to behold if we were super busy and she decided to "help out."

Wait! You took your shoes off when you were sewing the names on hats ? Or were you driving a stick at the same time?

;) :p:

As a guest that was always FACINATED and AWED by the gals that stitched hats (sorry guys it was always a girl in the hat shops) I'd be really disappointed to see them do it with a Brother machine. I thought that the old fashioned looking machines were part of the show on MAIN STREET. Now maybe a Brother would fit in Tomorrowland, but never on Main Street.
