Looks like some of my first graders writing!!! I guess most people only have a first grade education now days. A parent told my friend that she and her husband couldn't help their child, a first grader, because the work was too hard.

IF you think that post about the Monorail is bad, Check out Lights, Motors, Action at MGM. We have a 15ft marquee which seemes to be invisable. I still wonder why I get 50,000 people a day ask there the show is.

Not so much a failure to read but a failure to follow..

At Snow Exit for Wishes the other night making sure guests dont cross the chain into our fallout area... for those of you who havent been on Snow WHite during wishes the queue is re-routed so one chain is enter and one is exit. the one for enter goes all the way down to the exit so that guests in wheelchairs can board through the exit, everyone else makes a U-turn to go through the turnstile on the far left of the facade....well everyone except this one guest that could have used some signs (or a brain transplant). he first went down the exit side, i told him to use the other side (enterence)...he continued all the way down to where wheelchairs go and was told he went too far. he turns around, looks in all directions, yells to me "You need some f'ing chains to tell people where to go!"
Noone else but you buddy had any problems figuring out the 'difficult' u-turn!

I observed this as a guest last night. I was at the MK with a friend, waiting in line to order dinner at the Pinocchio Village Haus. There are menus posted outside by the doors, big signs behind each register with the menu AND pictures of most of the times.

It's finally the turn for the SG in front of me to order. He walks up and says "what do you have for dinner?" The patient cast member listed all of the items (I would had been tempted to just point at the big sign behind me.) After choosing what he wanted he asked "and what do you have for dessert?" and once again the incredibly patient cast member listed the dessert items.

due to short staffing some of our stands don't open til later in the day.

the sign says:

STORE HOURS: 12:30 TO 7:30

As i walk by the stand at about 9:40 AM i see a woman peering into the stand windows and looking DIRECTLY AT THE SIGN!

Being the helpful employee i am i asked her if she needed help with something.

I meet these guests at the tiki room. I was standing right next to the great big bright sign, moving strollers...

Guest looks at me...looks at map...looks around confused...looks back at me...
Guest: Where is the Enchanted Tiki Room?
Me: Right here...(I gesture towards the entrance that is about 3 feet from the sign)
Guest: Why doesn't Disneyland (:rolleyes :) put up more signs?
Me: I really don't know sir *smiling while turning to look directly at the great big sign, I check my watch* The show will be starting in about 10 minutes, if you'd like to watch *once again I gesture towards the entrance*
Guest: How do we get in?
Me: Right through here.
Guest: Through here?
Me: Yes sir.
Guest: You guys need bigger signs.

By the way...I worked at Walt Disney World.

I figure at somepoint they had to read *some* sign somewhere to manage to get to disney world...right? on the road? at the airport? parking? Or did they just get confused one day leaving the mall...and manage to follow some other car all the way from Nebraska to Walt Disney World...and just say "hey look Disney World! I didn't know that was on the way home! Let's stop! Maybe we can get Shrek's Autograph!"....Well that's my theory anyway. :)

working at midway games [pay-per-play games] in california adventure, i always get guests who ask me how much it cost to play the game while there's a huge sign above me listing the prices.

all i do is give a blank stare and point at the gigantic sign.
