Stupid Guest Tricks

Nothing gets me more annoyed than people who won't ask the employees that work there for help. They expect that you can read their minds and when you don't, act like it's your fault for not being Jamba the genie and grant them whatever asinine desire they have. Gah!!

Add that to the long list of classes for stupid guests, turnstile operation and safety. I was in the back seat of Alice in Wonderland and a mother and her daughter were in the front. That fat woman was carrying all sorts of luggage and stuff while videotaping everything in site. She even left the kid on the ride. The kid got her fingers badly bruised in the turnstile because she put her fingers down near the bolt.

Do not for get us wide hipped gals who get stuck trying to go through turnstiles. Another problem is the person who get stuck in the turnstile because they have to much luggage that gets hung up on poles and turnstiles. I also hate show off jocks who have to show they can leap stuff in a single bound and then face plant.

I love the ones who, when I am putting someone's ticket into the turnstile, tell me that I am doing it wrong. This is after I get a read error and intentionaly put it in another way so a different reader will get a chance to read the mag stripe.

Bwahahaha! As always, Zazu, your logic is on point...but I was trying to find a way to be nice. My initial reaction was to make fun of the poor sap for implying he would've done the same thing as the SG in the original post, but then I saw it was KingoCal's first post, so I decided to put away my spikes & chains and try playing nice for a change! I think the only smilie *I* really ever need, though, is this one: Kinda says it all, don't you think?!? ;)

Some people don't even know how to walk through a turnstile. They stand there and rotate it with their hand. Also, at USH's Shrek 4D the stad by lines turnstiles went both ways, however, if you did not turn it completly around, it would get stuck. Kids would always play with the turnstile while in line. The Gate A turnstile locked, and if you tired to exit back through it, it would stop you. Ever see a large guest try and squeeze thru a turnstile?

You hate to see that happen.

If only those infrared counters were used in every attraction the park, since some guests obviously can't be trusted with regular turnstiles.

I've seen a few people who just stop at the turnstile...AFTER the CM told them to come through. Um, excuse me, it's more like a gate than a fence...you CAN go through it. It isn't illegal or anything. You DO have the CM's permission.

Then how come you didn't walk through the turnstile?

I always accompanied this question with spinning the turnstile in the direction he should have gone. I've had an entire platform full of guests bust up laughing at times.

When they do have sense enough to ask, my line was, "It's a counter, not an attitude problem."

The funniest to watch though were men who didn't understand the concept and tried to go through one leg at a time. Backstage we called it The Surprise Soprano!

I always used to hate this one: Small child (Tammy) goes through turnstyle, bar flips around and hits Tammy in the back of the head. Ouch! Tammy cries. Mom laughs and says "She's been doing that all day!" WTF? Get a clue, Mom! Help your kid!
