A little off topic....

Hey Zazu, & other locals ;)
Hubby and I will be coming to WDW in May.
Right now, work at my place is so depressing that I'm tormenting my co-workers by having a vacation countdown on the white-board in our office. You guys are the light at the end of the tunnel and right now there are 70 days left to go!
When we get closer to the trip, I'll PM you to see if you want to meet.

It's that bad up there right now? Is it just because you're closed for off season, or is there something else wrong?

Just to give you guys an update since I didn't see it on here:
Everest will have it's official grand opening on April 7th.
Disney's reasoning is they want it "officially open for Easter week"
My reasoning:
WTF? "Officially open for Easter Week?" Hey dumbasses! You've got the parks anniversary two weeks from the 7th, and it's all ready soft opened! If you want to get technical, the ride was officially open the moment you decided to run the ads on tv and plaster the billboards that don't tell us a damn thing about the ride!
Face Everest
THAT DOESN'T TELL US ANYTHING OTHER THAN TO TURN AND LOOK AT THE MOUNTAIN! At least on the commercials, you could have used the "good" logo and have the two 'e's in Everest have the red eyes like you used to use to at least give us some clue as to WTF is going on.
Don't get me wrong, I love Everest, but the ad campaign is about as bad as the one for Soarin'...and I don't have the energy to start a rant on how bad and misleading that damn thing is.
A good photograph means knowing where to stand

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the penguins don't meet the height requirement ...
Everest has been open a lot lately ... probably will continue to be open a lot.
(my personal count is up to 14 trips... not unimpressive, but I know some folks that are at about 40)

Oh no, I wasn't talking about PGA. If you look over here
<----- you'll see that I'm talking about the Convention Center. My department has basically been cut in half and management still believes that we are underworked and overstaffed. HAH!!

They are looking to cut another position that is currently filled. It's still in discussions between management, the union, and the city (since we're city employees) and so it's hanging over our heads that we could lose another person at anytime until this thing is settled. :(
