The newer batch of cps (arriving in august/september) have mastered the art of calling in at my location. They have actually gone out of their way and calculated out the days they can call in and how long they can go without getting a rep. or just barely avoiding termination. My area is still on manditory 5 days, and next week I am only sched. for 33.4 hours because we have so many people, however, since there are so many call ins we end up short for the night. I'd rather get sched. for more hours and loose the call ins, I am a cp myself, but I'm here to work, not to be sick.

That's a good attitude to have. I wish there were more ppl with that attitude.

There are. On my program, I didn't call in once because I was afraid of getting in trouble. So I made myself go even when I didn't feel well (luckily I never got really sick).

Me too, I never once called in sick... They gave me a trophy! :trophy: No Kidding! actually, (not to brag or anything) the full timers told my batch of CP's I was with at All Star Music that we were the best group they'd had in years. (heck, one of the Cashier ladies threw a party and invited us all to her house!)

I'm just waiting for someone to start a thread about seeing people chillin' in the parks after calling in sick that day..... It's gotta happen, especially with the cp's. Sometimes I wonder whether some of them really should've been allowed to graduate highschool. :banghead:

I think that the television commercials, and the fact that the are now going to prisions to recruit people are contributing to the problem. Also Disney is not advertising in High Schools attempting to get "CP's" before they actually attend college and get them to live in their housing.

It happens, and I've heard that doing such a thing is grounds for immediate termination.

Or how about the employee that comes in in full costume/wardrobe, only to say they're not coming in and then leaves? I had that happen to me once, and the employee was shocked the next day to find out that they had been tapped one point for leaving work early.

Just yesterday, someone was telling me about 2 CMs he caught in line at Matterhorn. They were in full costume, with nametags and eating and drinking. When he asked what they were doing, they said, oh we didn't know, we're new. My question is, how can you not know that's one of the first things they tell you in orientation.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if these CMs were from Stores.
