My mom and younger brother used to enjoy shark steaks, but when my mom would cook them, they would stink up the entire house. She said shark tastes like swordfish. Don't eat seafood anymore (haven't had any since 1982), so I can't evaluate that statement. If someone wants to eat it, what's the big deal? Seems to me that shark fillets can be made from the same critter that "donated" a fin for the soup...sheesh...commercial fishing has got to be like pig farming - you use every part of the critter but the oink. I don't think the fish monger would just sell the solitary fin and nothing else, have some common sense people... Maybe the particular orginization that's making a stink is looking to make a name for itself by going after Disney???
