Another excellent point. :)Disneyguy85 wrote:Very true. :D:
And you know, Walt wanted Disneyland's castle to look the way it does. ;)

Re: Stupid Directions Trick!
But of course at MK Cinderella Castle can be seen from anywhere in the park and is a reference point.
Many people who have been to WDW multiple times, when they first get on Main Street at DL, have an immediate reaction of "Where is the Castle?"
Sleeping Beauty Castle is 75 feet high, Cinderella Castle is 189 feet. A factor of 2.52.

Re: Stupid Directions Trick!
When we go to the MK, we use the castle for a lost and found spot for family members.
Now for SG who claim that BTRR is Splash Mountain need serious help at DL. I had no idea that BTRR was Splash Mountain? I don't think the drought in CA could suck up all the water on Splash and turn it into BTRR. I told my sister, the drought was so bad that they removed the logs and placed the trains in to save money. My sisteer was laughing.

You also don't have a big hat blocking the view of the Chinese Theater. (granted, your Chinese Theater isn't in the middle of a theme park, but the lack of hats blocking it is a major positive point.)lady ulrike wrote:Another excellent point. :)

This is very true as well. Who knows, maybe someday, you'll get rid of the hat, doubt it, but one can dream, right? :)hhsrat wrote:You also don't have a big hat blocking the view of the Chinese Theater. I would also like to add that if there was never a Disneyland, then chances are there would be no WDW. ;)
Bigger is not necessarily better. ;)
I love Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland.
Plus, its great to have the castle walk through open again!

I was rather appalled when I discovered last December that they'd stuck that thing right in front of the theater. *Mutter mutter.*

Re: Stupid Directions Trick!
I hope they someday get rid of it also. But it is now considered the park icon! When you look at shirts or anything for sale in the parks that has the 4 park icons, it is SE for Epcot, the castle for MK, the Tree of Life for AK and the hat!
